Boulder Asks Residents To Prepare For Evacuations- Worst Fire in Colorado History

The Fourmile fire, the most destructive fire in Colorado recorded history, is now 30 percent contained.

Officials on Thursday morning said the fire is now at 6,365 acres. There were 550 firefighters working on the fire Thursday morning and 160 have arrived and will begin on the fight soon.

...At 3 p.m. the city of Boulder announced they want citizens to take precautions in advance of high winds and prepare for possible evacuations.

It appears Qurans aren't the only thing burning right about now.

This is really bad. I am really sorry for these poor folk who have lost their houses, and those that are having to leave their home.

Jeez. This sucks.

They are expecting winds up to 50 mph tonight, which is the main reason for the evacuations (will increase the spread of the fire). Just heard the evacuations are voluntary.

Actually the pastor called off the Quran burning.

The only thing we can take some hope in is that Boulder is a rather financially well-off city and probably has few residents below poverty and the ones who are harmed will probably recieve a lot of public and private assistance.

Man this is bad for sure. And the videos continue to roll out of Boulder, including one citizen-journalist who stayed to video tape. They've got gas tanks on cars exploding.

going on between the US and Russia.

Russia had fires last month next to
nuclear facilities

and this month Norad is hit
with fires

both sets done strategically
maybe even by HAARP.

I hope this doesn't escalate
any more.

I can't believe they might evacuate Boulder...

That's over a quarter of a million people!!!

Sounds kind of scary. I hope people evacuate if they are in a threatened area, as fire and wind can be very unpredictable.

This seems to be a year of worst ever's-now we can add Worst Fire in Colorado history to the list.

Excellent map of the fire area, with briefings and emergency warnings for evacuations, and possible evacuations, whole east side of the state of Colorado is in Red Flag Warning tonight, due to high winds expected to push fire boundries....

NORAD is down in Colorado Springs, not in Boulder. Unless of course you consider 100 miles as close.

And the Fourmile fire was sparked by a truck hitting a propane tank, not HAARP.

NORAD isn't in Boulder, it's located between Colorado Springs and Fort Carson. Shesh Oh Pete!
