First, please do not insult me, there is no need for such, asking a person their age and being insulting is just wrong on different levels, that is only takes away from your crediability. Being civil is always a good thing, no matter how much we may choose to disagree with each other.
Second: Al-Qaeda was backed by the Taliban, a government that was in charge of Afganistan. Both being followers of Islam. Both used the Quar'an to justify their actions that was taken. The Taliban, are very strict when it comes to following the Quar'an, to the point of any mistep is punished immediately. Al-Qaeda, too follows Islam and is using the Quar'an to justify doing acts of violence, and commit terrorist activities.
Now,neither one of these groups are a good represenative of the Islamic religion, however, neither are the Muslims that live in non Islamic countries. After every terrorist attempt and attack done by an extremist islamic group, the problem that many people have and it does not sit well in many peoples minds, is that the clerics and those who are suppose to be representing the Islamic communities in the non islamic countries use soft gentle language. It holds no weight, no teeth, just language that they are hoping will pacify the general population and hang to the rear on the issues at hand. It is as if, they are afraid of actually standing up and stating something that puts them in the eyes of the world. It is always easy to condone an action. Any one can do it, it is a gentle word, has no real insulting power, nor does it have much of an impact. We condone these actions, that is what comes out after every event. Not once have I heard a cleric or any of the Islamic groups issue a fatwa or a statement against any of the terrorist groups doing the acts of violence and terrorism. The Ayatolas in Iran issued a stronger statement after the threat of the burning of the Quar'an, stating that any who does such should be put to death. They did not state that they condone that action, but actually stated, that death is involved. Why is that? Why is it that they can state such and yet the muslim communities in the rest of the world won't do such?
It is the belief that what is needed to put a stop to Al-Qaeda and all terrorist who use Islam as an excuse to commit acts of violence, the rest of the Clerics who live in the rest of the world, and those who live in Islamic countries, need to stand up and state that those who do such actions deserve to be put to death. Using stronger language would have 2 effects, one is that it would show that they are unified on the idea of peace, and that such actions is no longer tolerated.
