Many great Artists and Bands have had tribute paid to them via others covering an original song. Sometimes, the second or third or fourth (or more) edition remains similar to the original while other times it veers wildly away from the original inspiration and it too, becomes an "original" in it's own right. This thread is a place to share those songs and in the process, remember the original Artists, while also appreciating (or not) the new versions that have come after. To start: here are a few favorites I've pulled from this thread...

Now this is a thread I can really sink my teeth into as I have somewhat of a obsession with cover songs, without much more I give you the first few sets of songs that comes to mind.

Pink Floyd - High Hopes

Nightwish - High Hopes

Led Zepplin - No Quarter

Tool - No Quarter

Once I have more time (and a more stable internet connection) I'll dig up some truly impressive and bizarre covers, some of which I doubt people have ever heard before.

This is only the tip of the tip of the iceberg. I could put up hundreds - that's what happens when you are a collector of music like I am, they're everywhere - but I won't, as that would cost me days of my precious time to do and what is up is enough, for now.
