As a FIRM believer in the Ancient Alien theory....

I find it to be true, that our 'gods' came from another planet....and that Mars may have been the 1st home for mankind.

Thinking about the biblical book 'Exodus', it could have very well been describing a mass exodus from Mars to Earth..

Everything was red (sea, dessert)

Mars obviously went through some planetary turmoil and Earth was terrraformed for us (God created the Earth), the same as we will have to do once Earth is no longer inhabitable

sorry mate, but i wasnt "trying to locate" medieval imageries. it just pop up so I posted it so those who have the capabilities or techies can come up with sensible opinion can have a go at it...

"silly speculations " and one liners not enough...

and we are not accomplishing anything here...just sharing...

Using the original photos you can see that things do not look like that. I think this shows that area with the "cross", but it's hard to know for sure.

As the above image is a 50 cm per pixel image and zoomed to 400%, the resolution is 12.5 cm (5") per pixel.
(Source)

If you want to keep on looking at things that there are not there, then you can keep on using Google Mars, but if you want to look at what the photos really show then you must use the originals. They are freely available.

your originals looks very interesting this time. In fact it shows more anomalies and hope we can zoom in on them.

I dont think its the same area where there was this "templars cross".
but why focus on "him".The whole area itself where the light source was the main issue.
"Him and them" was a bonus...

google? yeah, i think i'll stick to my guns...

i think so mate...and my speculation was way off...

but still cant explain why it shows this: @-1942 eye alt.
the "comet like tail" effect...

anyway thanks for that it gives me a new perspective at looking at it, like this?

great thanks though...

That comet like shape appears in several craters (and in the famous holes) on Mars, it looks like a wind effect caused by the presence of the crater.

and you mentioned "craters".
here is one huge crater roughly 32 kms in dia.
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/1836589f2777.jpg[/atsimg]
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/1d6c74a17159.jpg[/atsimg]

within the crater down to the basin floor are smaller ones but with very interesting shape, not the typical circular asteroid impacted holes...
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/0839464fa9a0.jpg[/atsimg]

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/72a9aa1456eb.jpg[/atsimg]
(this one is covered with whitish material, snow or dust?) but the same debri pattern.
not only the squarish shapes of these crater peculiar but that of the debris around them.the ejected materials seems to be limited around the blast area and not of the ejecta type (asterisk form)

it seemed that somethings were blasted/gouged on the original surface that left a very black and nasty gash.
and i deduced that this could only be done with like a "surgical laser bombing"???

farther down,to the main crater floor, approximately 5 kilos due north are tracks,
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/7dbd8a04de05.jpg[/atsimg]

where in one spot they seem to converge,
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/5deebd64eb14.jpg[/atsimg]

and once again the enigmatic human figures...
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/f2c5fb5a3731.jpg[/atsimg]

there are quite a number of these "craters" in this area all are oriented due north.

It looks like a crater made by a non-spherical object at (a relatively) low speed.

And whole area is the same colour, I think it's just the way the light is reflected by the differently shaped surfaces (and the exaggerated contrast, as usual) that makes it look white.

Really?
How can you deduce that? You really do not see any other, less far fetched, possibilities?

They look like dust-devil tracks.

No, only two three converge on that spot, and there are dozens of tracks on that area.

and once again the enigmatic human figures...
I don't see any human figure.

Probably a larger meteor that broke in several pieces, making several craters.

I don't see any human figure.

why can't i deduce...? if Mr Andy Basiago can categorically state that there are only about 600 to 700K humans in Mars as far as he knows but can't confirm the figure of a million colonist is my deduction that less???

as for the human - noids, "them" i can actually count at least 6 not to inlude the hangers on...

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/eda3eb594d0d.jpg[/atsimg]

if you cant see any of them, let it be...
have a nice weekend pal...

Let's just say that it's better not to talk about Mr. Basiago's ideas.

As you can (probably) see in the following image, it looks like part of the top of the dunes changes colour and collapses, and that happens every (if I'm not mistaken) Martian Spring.

The theory is that it's caused by the defrosting of the CO2 ice, the sunny side of the dunes gets hotter and the CO2 changes from ice to gas and destabilizes the edge of the dunes, freeing that dark material.

I don't think that theory explains it completely, but it's a start.

hey I actually started a thread about this but I realize I should have posted it here. This is the Ma'adim Vallis region. And I realized I should have put a "Riverside" picture in there too, since that is another part of the "city", but I forgot. I am not saying this is proof of anything but it did look odd to me. I mean there is even a "Face" here.

All I did was look on the Mars Express site for oddities in their images (Mars Express is responsible for the updated photograph of Cydonia, which reveals even more evidence of civilization IMO). This is the best region I found, the rest didn't have anything...

First image:

Close ups:
"Downtown"

"Northside"

"Eastside" (there is a "Face" like structure on the right of this image, but unfortunately zooming in causes it to become more pixelated)

Unfortunately zooming in on these photos makes things look pixellated. so I can't really show you much that I see because zoomed up it doesn't look clear. But I challenge you to look at the photo and see if you see anything. I'll try to explain. When I first looked at these photos I saw these weird looking black lines, almost like tubes or veins. They are all over. And not only that they create patterns such as squares all together as if this was some kind of transportation system or system of electricity or something which ran all over the city.

The sheer amount of geometric patterns here is amazing, there are so many squares and criss crossing patterns that would you see in a bustling big city. There are straight lines that fork into other straight lines. There are also many large structures that are visible.

Here's a 3D image of Ma'adim Vallis

Here's a closeup of those "veins" I was talking about earlier.

I don't know what function they have, but I don't believe they are artificial. They appear to rise above the landscape, so they are not roads. My initial theories are: aqueducts, electric power grid, or subway/transportation system.

Seeing this photo of Martian sand dunes from the Opportunity rover made me think perhaps I was very wrong, because there does seem to be some similar patterns there. However I'm not sure if these dunes are the same size, and they don't seem to have the same appearance. These sand dunes also have similar patterns but not the same appearance. Tell me what you think because I'm not saying I have the proof but it looks like a city to me so maybe it looks like one to you too.

Here is the other 3D photos.

hi mercury...
is this the "face"?
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/cbb7c3fcd369.jpg[/atsimg]

coz if it is, i have to tell you that i have a very deep affinity on these images. as such there is a term pareidolia to describe such images.

i started a thread on these Pareidolia images (just FYI)
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Now i have some images i wanna share with you regarding your "maadim face."

i noticed that the "eye sockets" are the areas that they darkened most and to zoom in on it will just blow the image to beyond unrecognizable...
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/8e280959bfb1.jpg[/atsimg]

so i kind of focus on them eye sockets and adjusted on the background colors and i will leave to you what you think is there...

i always have this kind of feeling that they really dont want us to see of what is out there...

That area reminds me of dry mud, with many signs of having had water some time in the past.

I will try to get other photos and/or higher resolution versions of those Mars Express images (usually they are very big images).

Nice find.

okey...got the right face...

more like a mother and child portrait...but if viewed from this perspective:

then you will find that its not just a face...there's more to it, if you really would take a deeper look...

10 kms south of the face is also a very interesting area to explore...try it...

this is indeed a very interesting area....

this is an enhanced image of the "face"...
i toned down the background hues so we can work out what are we suppose to see...

the lightened portion is about 500 meters long and some nearby "structures"...???

okey , lets get back to those eerie images...

I think this is the most sensible angle of view to look at these images, with the terrain/topographical background. so we can have a deeper perspective...

[img]http://[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/cf5d71c8e423.jpg[/img]

these second image will show that there seems to be a kind of a pathway of some sort that connects each group.

still an eerie enigmatic images to me...could very well be groups of boulders, but the "links" is something else...
