Bad Sign

Well I was traveling last week and happened
to come upon something interesting.
I pulled over on the side of the road
and snapped this photo.

Does anybody other than me
see a discrepancy here????

This pic was taken in Bladen County, NC
and I found it to be humorous as ya just never
know what you're gonna see next.

This is a bad sign !!!

I can't imagine how they got that mixed up, it blows my mind. Was there a sharp right turn along the road?

I don't see anything unusual. Just another arrow crossing sign. I hate those things. I'll be driving along, minding my own business, getting my Led on, and then out of nowhere comes an arrow across the road. I nearly hit one the other day!

Now I see why Obama is going to spend $50 billion on the roads...
he has to have the road workers fix these kinds of mistakes...I wonder what mistakes they have made on train tracks???

It's not a crossing sign at all. It's a road curves to the right sign www.cyberdriveillinois.com... But the road actually curves to the left...

I was wondering why I had to explain it.

Haha......I don't think I would have a license if that were the case.

Regarding the arrow though, the paranoid/hopeful/OCD nut inside of me would have thought that maybe that was a sign....and that I was meant to follow it to find something.... I probably would have pulled over and followed that path just to make sure.

....but then again I am the one who drove all the way back down a busy road, got out of my car, and poked a dead squirrel with a stick due to it's ear flapping in the wind. (It could have been alive...and may get injured further!)

So yeah, disregard all of this.

Someone may want to inform the correct authority. Imagine driving on that road at night? No streetlights either. You never know you may save lives.

Surely the trap is that it's a sign indicating what's ahead where we cannot see!

Boonie, are you pulling our legs!!

It's an S bend right? directly out of camera view is a right hand turn?

Perhaps the sign is from Australia??

I think clearly there is a hidden passage through the trees to the right which leads to a FEMA camp. Once the revolution starts the artificial trees will be removed so that the buses can bring the lowly prisoners in.

There will be no need to disguise the hidden entrance at this point, it will be too late.

I thought, in response to your comment, what!

On reflection, and swift admonishment from the other (better) half I concede you may have a point, especially in foggy conditions.

If you take a good look at the picture notice that the vegetation appears to have been deadened some time in that past (fire?) right where a vehicle would probably go off the road. Maybe someone has already been off there.

Indeed! Why place a sign indicating something already seen?

The sign refers to what is ahead not what is immediately identifiable, the sign is designed to assist the motorist in 'reading' the road ahead.
