Just a quick question.
I was just wondering if the change over to ATS 2010 is finished or if anything else still needs to be done?

- New log-in page
- New join-ATS page
- - - and some incremental refinements to the thread page

Hi SO -

Just a head's up, all of the links seem to be broken, in the new profile page. I'm getting 404'd when I click on the threads from there...

ETA: Just to clarify - the links work in the posts and threads page, just NOT from the profile page....

Wow SO, being able to track threads by your friends is really great, it gets better everyday, now I order you to take a few hours off and get some rest, we can wait.

Can I protest against the apparent loss of the ability to "single" posts for archive puposes?

LOVIN' the fact that the "Posts" section in your profile now takes you to YOUR last post in a thread... so you can carry on where you left off.

That represents a piece of a larger problem that was resolved in the ATS.2010 code -- finding a specific post in a long thread with nothing more than the post ID. The "atpost" function is the result of some rather mind-numbing math (at first) that helps get people to the right place in a thread.



As far as the old "single post" feature, that is no longer part of the site. It's so important to preserve the context in which posts appear, that we felt it important to remove the feature in favor of the new "atpost" function.

Is there any way you can bring back the small paragraph exert from threads that featured in the profile area? I like reading throught peoples profiles, and know what the topics are about. That was handy.
