Yes, try the "go dark" link at the top of each thread view, or try this link:
Color shift

After clicking the link, go right to your My ATS page or Recent Posts page, without reloading or anything, and the next pages you view should be okay. It used to work a little better, but the toggle seems to be somewhat broken right now...

That was it... Oh my god I feel stupid, and have no idea how it changed...

Blimey, I have to read everything in the dark as it is as I have bad photosensitive eyes, big bright screens just make my entire head hurt.

I just noticed a brand new member (joined today, 20th September) as my "Friend"....never chose him/her.

Also, this new member has (apparently) been "Friended" already, in only one day, by dozens and dozens and dozens of people. Including some Mods?

Obviously, a glitch somewhere? (Sorry if this has been mentioned prior).

My problem with my "My ATS" page:

I am trying to elevate the UFOs & Aliens Forum to the top of my list of favourite forums, subsequent to it ending up at the bottom of the list & not viewable without scrolling.

When I use the green arrow to try to move it up the list, it duplicates the forum again at one place higher, but does not remove the original forum. The result is that I end up with multiple UFOs & Aliens Forums on my favourites list.

If I select the red x to remove the one of them, all the UFOs & Aliens Forums on my list are removed.

Is this a "bug"?

Am I doing something wrong?

This is actually a long-standing glitch, though I think I read somewhere that it'll be fixed once the board has completely transferred to the 2010 update.

It happens when someone's name is part of a longer name. Then they show up on friend/foe lists that the member with the longer name is on.

So for instance, if someone joined with the username "whacker", they might show up as friended by everyone who has friended you.

Here's the best recent one I could find, from the ATS Issues Thread. In that post AshleyD both explains the glitch and says it will be fixed soon (which I took to mean in the 2010 redesign).

Can't get a login icon anywhere when trying to sign on a blackberry....tried another friends, same situation.
Iphone is fine.

was the view number erased on purpose ?

it never happened to me before
but i get flood kicked because i type to fast ... i get disconnected because of that
its now been 3 times since i have discovered the chat 2 weeks ago

i have something similar like some system acting strange on ATS...
a brand new member who already have an applause
how does it work lol .. i have +1000 posts count and 32 important threads
and it still
Applause: 0 ... i only bother about the 0 ... like the views counts ...0

I just thought of something: is there a way that we could subscribe to our favorite posters? So we could follow all of their threads, something like subscribing to a person's youtube channel?

So, when I am lurking it is impossible to view the "thread lists"

So I am unable to view the most "recently active" threads unless I sign in.

Smells like BS to me, it was fine yesterday. And now you removed the "see all topics" link for more conspiracy chi--er spam. I mean, how many links to your "show" do we need to see per page?

Sorry, but bring back a way to view the boards without being signed in, or I am outta here. (Of course, that could be the whole point. Limit the amount of readers to your subject matter.

There are currently some minor navigation changes in the works... links to the list-view will be on the board home.

So I am unable to view the most "recently active" threads unless I sign in.

That page is fully functional for guests.

Crap, apologies again (Jeez 0 for 2...) I forgot to say "Thank you for the prompt reply!"

I've returned dynamically generated "opening post snippets" to the site home and forum overview pages. While I think the "clean" appearance of the simple headlines provided an overall nice look... it began to feel like we were less of a "content site" without those short snippets.

Why is it that on the 'breaking alternative news" forum, that the articles are only sorted out by "Last Reply and Most Flags"?

Cant we have an option to have it sorted by "newest".
Just trying to find NEW NEWS on that forum is a pain in the you know what.

Ben, ATS staff give applause when they believe a post or thread has added particular value to a topic.

Here is a link with a discussion about it, and several moderators discuss what they look for in a good post/thread.
