Iran reported on brink of nuclear weapon!

www.telegraph.co.uk

A report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iranian nuclear scientists had made at least 22 kilograms of enriched uranium at least 20 per cent purity, a technical hurdle that is the hardest to overcome on the way to weapons-grade uranium.

Experts estimate that 20 kgs of uranium is the minimum required to arm a warhead. The uranium would still need to have its purity raised to 90 per cent, but that is a relatively easy process.

Yes another one. Oddly for the Telegraph they settled on this alarmist title. I of course added the exclamation mark which they accidentally left out!

The new head of the IAEA appears to be taking a harder line with the Iranian's as of late. No doubt getting at least a few kudos for his trouble.

Who knows maybe I am just a naive fool, and there really is a insurmountable threat bearing down on us from Iran. But with only my infantile vision to rely on, I just can't see it.

We never did find out what happened to that scientist in Vienna either did we? No we never do...

Expect axis of evil announcement by the Obamatron in the near future.

This is just the news team america is waiting for as an excuse to invade Iran!

Oh man. Not again. Telegraph, SHAME ON YOU. And on you too, Loner, for not offering us the real truth to this bogus report.
(edit: I take the shame back on Loner, who explained he was being sarcastic...)

Outrageous spin propaganda to create undo fear, and potentially help Israel develop the false public illusion that Iran presents a nuclear weapons threat.

The IAEA may have said specifically in a report that Iran has enriched a small amount to 20%, but it is the fricken VERTIC, and the Telegraph that are perpetuating and hypothesizing that Iran COULD do this, or COULD do that. TOTAL BS.

THERE IS STILL NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER OF AN EXISTING IRANIAN NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM. And if the IAEA themselves can't find it and report on any Iranian nuclear WEAPONS program, then I'll be damned if I am going to listen to a government funded, supposedly "neutral" third party like this VERTIC organization.
Or worse, the Telegraph.

I repeat, this is total BS fearmongering put together maliciously from related facts that the IAEA has previously reported on.

About the same thing really as what happened to get us into Iraq.

Lord, when is this ever going to stop.

Loner was being just being facetious, don't worry =) The last part of his comment makes that clear.

Iran, on the other hand, has *plenty* to worry about. So apparently the Big Bad Bilderbergers gave a green light to attacking Iran. At least that's what Daniel Estulin and Lindsay Williams have both independently claimed their "sources" told them. Considering the massive increase in anti-Iran propaganda shortly thereafter, this seems entirely plausible.

Keep in mind, the very reason we see all this propaganda is because the elites NEED us to buy into it, at least enough so that they can maintain the status quo while pursuing their private interests.

It will be interesting - many of us know the game is on, and who knows, maybe we can finally start turning the tables on these limousine-escorted scumbags? They have nearly unlimited resources, and servile minions in every element of western society, control the economy, Congress, Wall Street, food and water supplies, but they can't - or at least haven't yet - stolen our humanity and innate desire to prosper and live a good life.

That aside- I personally think nothing can stop the coming war. Whether we preemptively strike their nuclear targets, or plan a false flag and blame it on them, whatever happens will be immediately justified by the mass media, and in turn, a majority of the population will support it.

It won't matter how obvious it is, as long as they do it quick and then immediately start shifting the focus on something else. What could Iran possibly do, besides a military retaliation? Or just as provocative, maybe close the Hormuz straights. There's very little to be done in my humble opinion.

I thought I made my thoughts on the matter very clear through the use of sarcasm, obviously not.

I agree with you though shame on the Telegraph, it's all complete speculation, which I would expect from say the Jerusalem Post, but not the Telegraph. Seems to be the done thing now though doesn't it, where are all the liable lawsuits?

What happened to you Telegraph? You used to be cool!

O, IC. Just my opinion, but an exclamation point in that context is not enough. But ok.
Glad you explained that.

You're right though, it certainly doesn't do justice to the ridiculous nature of the article. It just gets to a point where I find myself in a state of repetition regarding the Iran issue, as I'm sure a lot of folks do. I don't know what else there is to say on the matter, definitely nothing original from me!

And just who do these hawks think is going to fight this war?
Surely they don't expect to perform some "surgical strikes" and that will be the end of it.
All I can say is that the pro war folks will have more to fear from Americans than Iranians if they decide to start another war on false pretenses.

You make valid points but you lack the understanding of who is ultimately responsible here. It is the American economy and American political machine that is creating this situation and the Israel government is provoking it.

I see only two things that can be done to end this cycle of lies and occupation (which, by the way, is eerily similar to Germany occupying Czechoslovakia and Poland back in the 30s): The American people standing up against the actions of their government including reformation of CIA and associated black operation policies and a "coalition of the willing" to willfully enforce regime change in a violent and obviously dangerous Israel.

What Americans? Like who is going to stop ordered attacks on Iran? The American military has proved that it leaves its conscience at the political door, and blindly obeys orders from the top, no matter how wrong, how illegal, how inhumane, and how destructive the order is.

And since no other country is powerful enough to haul the whole lot of our corrupt and criminal politicians to the Hague for war crimes trials, it's going to take the Intergalactic Council to intervene. But they're corrupt too, having struck a deal with our government many years ago.

Yeah, we're basically screwed with no other option but...

I think the telegraph middle eastern correspondent gave away that they're extremely pro-Israeli by defending Israeli settlement building to the hilt inside the west bank, a long time ago....

Wonder if they have a Jewish owner??

Oh no I better not say that, otherwise they'd probably call me anti-semitic for suggesting it!

See the propaganda at work…

22 kilograms of enriched uranium at least 20 per cent purity,

If its 20% enriched, its also 4.4kg of 100% enriched Uranium

Experts estimate that 20 kgs of uranium is the minimum required to arm a warhead. The uranium would still need to have its purity raised to 90 per cent

I.e. you need 18kg of 100% uranium, to make a single, half decent, bomb

So it's still exactly the same Telegraph that helped sell the British people the iraq WMD lies, and unscrutinized, pro Afghan war, propaganda. I guess it can be relied upon, to be "patriotically singing" poisonous, government, propaganda at the next war, the next (in fact all the way, till the day, of world war three!!)
