what story they are trying to suppress.

Just what do they do... take government money (for what).
This is the big government of the Republicans.

They ran the Army base kitchens and security and etc and etc.

I'm sure that they didn't underbid most other companies, instead the government put requirements that only fit a couple of companies, then the companies take turns on the bidding. That's how it goes. A certain corporation will lobby government officials for a job, then the government makes requirements that fit only that company to go out to bidding.

For instance, if Xe has 2600 employees, the government will make a requirement that whoever bids on the contract needs to have between 2550 and 2650 employees that has "x" amount of years experience and has "XYZ" liscenses.

This whole defense contract bidding is a farce.

Some companies can have a technical edge.
Even with low man power the company can hire more.
In those cases the technical evaluation is key and best
to go with the most confident in the evaluation of the
government or consultants.

In some instances once the job is awarded the scattering of
subcontracts can give the main project a difficult time.
I can't say that a company was directed where to sub contract
but it might have happened. I did hear of a sub contractor
having little to deliver on schedule and was canceled with
the main contractor do the job themselves.

What could backwater have in experience that just hiring
more drivers and guns have on competition except that
no other company did such things.
