Fuel Tanker Runs Aground In Arctic

fuel tanker carrying nine million litres of diesel has run aground in the far north of Canada and is at risk of spilling its cargo into the Arctic.The vessel is stuck in the Northwest Passage but is not leaking, Larry Trigatti, the Canadian Coast Guard's superintendent of environmental response for the area, said.

There are no reports of damage and the ship is not taking on water, he said.

The tanker was resupplying northern Inuit communities.

I hope this turns out to be an non-event, a spill anywhere is disastrous, the arctic would be no exception.

They say that there is no leak on the ship, and that there is no damage, so i'm not sure where they get the impreesion that it's at risk of spilling.

Unless it's due to the lack of stability of the ship? Either way, my thoughts are with all those involved.

It would appear that the tanker is owned by this company, Woodward's Oil, part of the Woodwards Group...

Seriously though I think that its clear where we are all headed.
I suppose that the angels will be pouring the bowls of gods anger. Guess we'll see 911 when the sun is facing us from the active side. If there's a huge earthquake pretty soon then it goes without saying?

So there we have it the large quake? new zealand.
Actually no this isn't the quake I was talking about. I've a feeling this is one of a few but the large one will be in co with the timeline of a volcanic eruption.
