I respectfully disagree with several issues concerning your post.
But we are still technically free... We have the freedom to come and go as we please,
*** Not without a passport and papers, not without going through a body scanner that another person can see you naked and take a picture of your said
nakedness. (This might be a thrill for some of you but for me, I wear clothes for a reason, I am modest (was raised that way) and would like to keep
my private parts private. And people's movements are being slowly and methodically curtailed little by little, more papers here, another fence with
security there. Little by little is how they do it and they TPTB are doing it.
Watch whatever we want,
*** Most of what is available is corporate propaganda. Not all of it, there is still a lot of good stuff, however - take our news, most of it is
sanitized and lies abound. Free to watch what TPTB choose for you to watch. Real information is power and we're not getting it from the mainstream
media.
Browse anything on the internet,
*** I've been a surfer on the net since it first popped up...........that too has changed. Music and really good clip art/ use to be a lot more and
all free. It's drying up little by little every year that goes by and if TPTB get their way our "alternative news" the real stuff will dry up too.
Also, ATS itself has undergone a drastic change - read some of the many posts on that issue alone.
Eat whatever we choose,
*** If you chose to have a cow and milk said cow and not pasteurize your milk or not use Monsanto genetically tinkered seeds you risk the possibility
of having your farm descended upon by "agents" read #17. We can still buy heritage seeds and I strongly suggest doing that as each year passes
we're being "encouraged" to use Monsanto genetically altered seeds".
fyi: I grew up on a farm, we grew tomatoes, corn, beans, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, cows, chickens and rabbits. I know what real food tastes like
and the stuff we're getting now isn't the same.
17 - The U.S. government has become so paranoid that now even milk is viewed as a major threat. Organic milk is now considered such a national
crisis that the FDA has been conducting military style raids on Amish farmers in the state of Pennsylvania.

Work where we want,
*** My job of 16 years was outsourced to India. From the talk on the street, people will work anywhere that is now hiring and bullying and employee
abuse is common in the workplace as well as low salaries for most people. I was bullied for over ten years - one decade. I did exactly what I was
told to do, no questions asked, or else. I was told, " Well you should be able to get your workload done within 35 hours...........BS.
Live where we want,
*** Only if you have $$$ I serve meals to the homeless twice a month and with each passing year I am seeing more / much more old people and children
that came from middle class families, were the middle class just a few years ago.........things are changing.
*** No, you can only live where you want if you have a job that pays a half way decent salary and said job hasn't been outsourced or in sourced. I
know several people living in their cars. No apartment, no condo, no townhouse - they live in their cars. Each year this number is growing.
Freedom to have as many kids as we want,
*** Yep they haven't initiated the one kid per family law yet, however if you don't make enough money, you don't have a job or a real low paying
job, it's not a good idea to make babies. Anybody with half a brain will wait until they have a good stable job, a good stable marriage and
everything in order before bringing another human into this reality.
Freedom to back talk our government leaders,
*** Yes you’re right; I've e-mailed and complained to Obama and Senator Melissa Bean every week and no agents at my door yet.
Freedom to protest,
*** Only in small numbers and now in most places you have to acquire a permit. fyi: I protested the Vietnam War and have had a line of police march
towards us, in battle formation............pretty frightening, very intimidating. Not for the faint of heart. And that was years ago.
Bear arms,
*** If legal, they must be registered. And there is a reason for this, if a gun is registered, when marshal law is put into effect TPTB can have
their goons (soldiers/police) know who and where the legal guns are and go and simply confiscate them. The people who have not registered their guns
have "broken the law" and these folks can be imprisoned. Either way, if and when it is decided we will no longer have the right to bear arms.
It's coming, believe me, I see it coming. I use to be for gun control until I researched this issue for three years.
Vote (even though it doesn't count for anything really),
** Right again, they don't count. Our voting system is rigged. Ask Diebold. It's not who votes that counts it is who is counting the votes. IMHO
Corporate America / lobbyists are the deciding factor now in our elections.
Freedom of religion,
*** I'm spiritual not religious but you're right you can go to any church or synagogue or now mosque your little heart desires.
We are not forced to join the military (lately),
*** That could possibly change.
www.classbrain.com... and the rich elite's kids don't die in battle like the
poor man's kids. Good old George Bush Jr. may have worn a pilot fighter flight suit for a publicity shot, but he never saw action. I have two
friends whose older brothers were killed in Nam.
We have the freedom to choose our education,
*** Public education is the pits. We put all our money into war and begrudge our teachers and schools enough funding to really make a difference. My
girlfriend is a teacher in Milwaukee Wisconsin and she says their books are old and the students have to share. My girlfriend in Milwaukee has 40
students in her high school class. My one sister in law that teaches kindergarten has 36 and the other one that teaches middle school is up to 25
(special ed). One of my friends that live two streets over has a son in high school and in most of his classes you’re looking at 35-42 kids per
class.
My granddaughter when she went to a private school had 12 kids in her class. Now in a public school she is one of 30+.
The rich can afford to educate their children well, the rest of us, the common man face a inadequate public educational school system and most
children being key latch kids from 9 years of age on up.
The rich can afford "nannies" to manage their children while they work, the rest of us can't.
Only if you are rich, can you afford to live in an area that has better schools and or send your little darlings off to a private institution. For
the common man, the regular public educational system sucks. Most high school kids I encounter can't read or write very well.
Freedom to say what we want and how we feel, and soooo many other things that if I list it will be way to long LOL.
*** Yes but be very careful, if you are in anyway shape or form deemed a "national security threat" you could be detained without a trial for a long
period of time. Things they are a changing.
