This is the 21st century, you would think the world would be more civilized. These poor people must be rescued and the Slavers prosecuted.
I watched a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary on this and was equally disgusted by what was uncovered. However, motions are in place to redefine the
levels of diplomatic immunity which could lead to successful criminal prosecution against people for actions and behavior on private property that has
no connection to diplomatic services. In essence, keeping a house maid is not relevant to diplomatic service and if such a person was mistreated,
criminal charges could be brought.
