If you have not heard about it.. Here is the news… Find His Demands Below this quote…

A “small number” of hostages have been taken by an armed man inside the Discovery Communications headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, police say.

The gunman, named by US media as James Lee, had metallic canisters strapped to his chest and a handgun when he entered the building, police said.

Montgomery County Police Captain Paul Starks said officers were communicating with the man.

The area around the building, outside Washington DC, has been sealed off.

Discovery employees were evacuated from the building shortly after the incident began at around 1800GMT.

But police said some of the 1,900 workers could still be inside the building.

And He Was Later Shot By Police…

These are his demands posted on savetheplanetprotest.com…

Deranged individual, how did he expect all those claims to be filled while he was still holding hostages ? some of those things would take a lifetime to achieve.

Is it just me, or does this loon remind anyone of Helen Cutter from Primeval? The only difference is that he's much less bright... at least she took a more proactive stance

Sorry, can't feel the slightest bit of pity for this guy. Maybe I'm fresh out... or maybe, he was just another example of idiotic extremism who chose violence over passive resistance and psychological manipulation. At least the latter typically have a five-year plan.

I think he did... It seems like a police assisted suicide to me. I read his note... there are many things that can be rationalized or agreed with... but the underlying tone is definitely deranged and psychologically unstable sounding.

I absolutely despise extremist tree hugger globalist hippies like this. He refers to human beings several times as disgusting filth. Actually, contrary to his delusional mind, he's the filth. He's the filth that has plagued society with violence, comtempt, and hatred of others. The planet and human beings as a whole are one tiny step closer to peace now that this loser is dead.

The planet was DESIGNED for humans. We should not disrespect it because it was a gift and in that right, we should care for such a great gift. But in no way, should we take drastic measures to severely reduce populations to save random wildlife. Wildlife was put there FOR humans to consume. Humans already do ALOT to save wildlife. US Government agencies and several taxes are already in place to protect it. Sh!t we practically pay double for oil and deliberatly depend ourselves on others for its production JUST to avoid damaging wildlife. That, in itself, is a hell of an example of sacrifice for the earth. Humans dont do a great job with handling the planet, but there is alot of people who do care and are making massive positive attempts.

Overpopulation is one of the BIGGEST progagandist lies to justify mass sterilization and population control of nations. Hopefully not too many people will buy into it.

It really is a huge problem in the world though, overpopulation. Sure, we can sustain our 7 billion people at the moment... oh wait, no we can't. Isn't world hunger one of the biggest problems facing humanity today? And what with the population growth being (key word here) exponential, the world will be straining to support humans not too far in the future.

Now, I don't believe genocide or anything is the way, but I do think that people should stop trying to have as many babies left and right as they can. What seemed to happen with this James fellow is that he thought he might be able to convince people to have more caution, but he did it all wrong. The media treats any kind of violent threat, real or not, with vigilant hatred and crazy-calling. He was right about it being big news, but it will not make the impact he wished it would.

There is no Over population issue.
It is only a bad management of resources.

A lot of the resources and food supplies are mismanaged and some populations are DELIBERATLY deprived. People like to use Africa as an example of mass starvation but it’s not because of the lack of resources, its because its an entire continent at war with itself. Just as in one of many examples, in Somalia, civil war was a common everyday reality, and they would starve their enemies by seizing trade routes and food supplies when they are shipped in; killing entire populations in the area.

People are encouraged to have babies because of socialistic programs of today. People are PAID to have them and encouraged through handouts, not to seek employment. If people were held financially accountable for their children, they would be much more careful with having more children. So, much of the problem is with government itself. Big surprise.

Its no different than the global warming lie. Its all justification for taxes and an agenda of control.

Yet if you look at consumption rates, they are insane. I am personally amazed that the United States has managed to sustain it's population and it's consumers for so long. We are burning and using tons of non-renewable resources every day that without a doubt would not be depleting so quickly if the population was not so grossly massive.

Surely at the very least someone can agree that we don't need every couple trying to make multiple children? I know that there is plenty of crop for food that is being used to feed countless cows for the meat consumers, but regardless, it is a fact that the population of the world is growing exponentially, and that no environment can sustain that. It must either level off and remain fairly constant, or drop significantly.

The enviroment can handle alot more than you think. Humans are a mere pimple on the earth's ass. Plus the earth and its forces are much more powerful than humans will ever be. However, im sure you'll be at the front lines with your daughter and son to be the first ones to be sterilized and rationed food to "save the enviroment."

I don't plan to ever have children, truthfully. As for what the environment can handle, I'm certain the Earth will be fine regardless of what billions of humans do to it. However! I do not believe humans can sustain themselves if consumption and procreation rates remain as high as they are.

Honestly, I believe I would volunteer to be sterilized to help the human race. I mean, so long as it let me continue to have a good time in the bedroom.

James Lee, believed in reducing global warming and animal extinction. This guy surely bought all that crap discovery channel sold him by believing in global warming?....spreading the word of the very thing he swore to destroy. He also believed in depopulation and pushed for the increase in sterilization within the third world.

Well i dont think people will go as quietly as you. Some are just not that indoctrinated...

And plus, life isnt about being super efficient. Sometimes life is sloppy. And its fun that way. And its more exciting and beautiful. Well, im not an eugenics expert, but i'd say the balance is just fine. Yes there is a higher birth rate than the generation before, but so is the death rate. People are checking out just as fast, if not faster, than they are checking in.

I'm not indoctrinated. I have formed my own views based on my observations of the world around me. I also believe things are beautiful as they are, but I do not believe they will stay this way. As much as things are randomly fantastic, they will always change, and it will probably be for the worse.

As for people checking out just as fast, let me get some figures...
www.os-connect.com...

According to this site at least, almost everywhere in the world the birth rate is 2 to 4 times greater than the death rate.

I dont want kids either, why curse someone by bringing them into this crap hole? If I could get a vasectomy for free, sign me up for the willing sterilization
