I too think this is an excellent idea, and look forward to perusing the many fine word-sculptures from the talent here

Hmmm. Poetry or story?

...I'd LOVE to try my hand at a conspiracy story with a Christmas/New Years/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa theme.

Can you u2u us to announce contests?

First the poetry contest, then a short story contest after, Sofi. Can't test the volunteer judges too much. They'd surely bail.

Stay tuned. Results coming in soon.

The three winners of the HHWC are:

Inheritance by berenike - First prize

Those Were The Days by jackflap - Second prize

Wendigo by Skid Mark -Third prize

This was not an easy decision, because the judges were all over the map on the submissions. As a result, everyone who posted gets honourable mention because there were so many picked for either being a part of the top three or chosen to be among the 'honoured'. Congratulations to all the contestants who participated.

So... to make a long story short (pun intended), everyone who submitted will shortly receive two applauses from yours truly.

To the judges, a hearty 'thank you' for your efforts.

Just read the winner's story. Wow. Excellent choice. ...Have to go, but will be back to read the rest.

Everyone's work is so impressive - judging must have been very difficult, but so far, I greatly approve of your choices!!!

Thanks so much, contributors and judges.
