The shapes - FDL-5, FDL-6, FDL-7 and FDL-8 - were designed with the intention of sustained hypersonic flight (both gliding and powered) and re-entry. NASA'S HYPER-X PROJECT AND THE X-43A Hyper-X is an experimental flight-research program seeking to demonstrate airframe-integrated, "air-breathing" engine technologies that promise to increase payload capacity for future vehicles, including hypersonic aircraft (faster than Mach 5) and reusable space launchers. The test vehicle for the project is designated the X-43A. This multiyear program is currently underway at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, California. LIGHTCRAFT - PROTOTYPE LASER PROPELLED SPACECRAFT Originally intended as a Strategic Defense Initiative microsatellite, the craft was propelled by a ground-based 10kw Textron high-energy, pulsed carbon-dioxide, infra-red laser. It is designed to convert kilojoule pulses of laser energy, focused at ten times a second onto a parabolic mirror at its base, into propulsive thrust. An operational Lightcraft, with on-board propellant, would fly to Mach 5 on an air-breathing engine then shift to laser-propelled rocket mode. SNOWBIRD EXPERIMENTAL STEALTH AIRCRAFT This almost unknown design may be a prototype UAV or perhaps a preliminary testbed for a larger aircraft. Utilising stealth characteristics of a very advanced design, could this be the next generation stealth fighter? SR-71 BLACKBIRD SUPERSONIC SPYPLANE The Blackbird, code-named Oxcart during its development, flies on a tremendous 65,000 lbs. of thrust at an altitude of 100,000+ feet at Mach 3.5, and has a range of four thousand miles. That is not only four times faster than the U-2 but seven miles higher - and the U-2 was then the current high-altitude champion. TACIT BLUE STEALTH AIRCRAFT The US Air Force, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and Northrop Corp. teamed up for the TACIT BLUE Technology Demonstration Program from 1978 to 1985. TACIT BLUE validated a number of innovative stealth technology advances. Most notably, it was the first aircraft to demonstrate a low radar cross section using curved surfaces, along with a low probability of intercept radar and data link.

we see aircraft we thought were ufo,s up here in alaska for years.comming out of the harding ice fields out of seward ak.exit glacier area.we have also found ground monitering realy stations in the bush here powered by solar pannels with wires going into the ground and up into the trees..we have photos of this..it says property of nasa jet propulsion labatories pasidena calif..found it when hunting in the bush funny indeed all thease /ufo,s were seeing we now thing they are govt expermental craft some large ,,,lot of smaller craft..even seen missle shot at the craft when we reported it we were told that alaska defense forces missle command were deployed in that area on manuvers.how ever we saw the ufo/military exp craft take the missel hit then just fly away .
