One American Died Every 15 Hours, on Average, in Operation Iraqi Freedom

www.cnsnews.com

One U.S. soldier, Marine, airman or sailor died every 15 hours, on average, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, which officially ends on Tuesday -- almost seven-and-a-half years after U.S.-led forces invaded to topple Saddam Hussein’s regime.

The Defense Department puts the U.S. death toll for the conflict, which began on March 20, 2003, at 4,421 fatalities, 3,492 of them in combat (including nine civilian DOD employees).

Members of the U.S. Air Force honor guard prepare to fire a 21-gun salute at a funeral at Arlington National Cemetery on March 11, 2009.

One American soldier, marine, sailor or airman dying every 15 hours, on average? 5000+ dead? Scary death toll for a 21st Century illegal war.

It's too sad that troops are being used as pawns to advance the foreign policy agenda of the globalist elite, because Henry Kissinger said so when? In 1973? If he did say so, the globalist is ultimately correct.

How many Iraqis have been killed?
20 in 15 hours??

I would like to see how many Iraqis were killed but sadly this article is only looking at one side.
I would like to see both sides in order to point out the full stats.
For instance for every 30 Iraqis that get killed 1 American soldier dies.

The point of that would be to put a value on it.(value might be a bad choice of words)
Its ok to lose 1 American Soldier as long as 30 Iraqis die first??

Just looking at the issue as a whole and not from one side as I do value human life wether it be an Iraqi or an American.

Yeah ok - but for each dead yank - they managed to slaughter around 300 Iraqi's - though some were adults, and some fewer were soldiers.

4,421 fatalities, 3,492 of them in combat

How did the other 929 die? Were these suicides? I though the suicide rate was much higher than this...

Those are probably roadside bombs while traveling camp to camp, etc.
