Now note the period between 1986-2007.
Maybe after the US leaves the UN, the UN might actually be able to do something significant.
Unfortunately, the US is now using the UN the same way the USSR did during the cold war.
And, I don't think many people realize how bad those kind of actions are.
Add in the corperate interests that hace entered the UN via the permenant security council members....oh damn...
I just realized that the problem isn't the US, or USSR/Russia, the problem is having PERMENANT security council members that have effectively removed
the teeth from the tiger.
If the UN had an effective rotating council, maybe then resolutions would mean something, as they would be enforced appropriately.
