I was listening to this epic tune by Monster Magnet today and it finally hit me what this song may be about. My opinion is that its stating that the aliens have taken us over and are running the entire world and we are but the slaves.

Here are the lyrics.

I been stuffed in your pocket for the last hundred days
When I don't get my bath I take it out on the slaves
So grease up your baby for a ball on the hill
Polish them rockets now and swallow those pills

And say...spacelord mother mother

There's a car in the field now in a collar of flame
With two doors to choose, but only one bares your name
You been drinkin' my blood, well I been lickin' your wounds
Well, I shave of the pitch now and scope your tomb

You'll say...spacelord mother mother

I left my throne a million miles away
I drink from your tit, I've sing the blues everyday
Now give me the strength to split the world in two, yeah
I ate all the rest and now I gotta eat you

Well I say......
Built in my nightmares and using my name
You strove of my cortex when ya know I'm insane
I squeezed out and harmed a child and I drowned it in love
Then conquered some more to a position above

And say...spacelord mother mother

I left my throne a million miles away
I drink from your tit, I sing the blues everyday
Now give me the strength to split the world in two, yeah
I ate all the rest and now I gotta eat you

Well I say...spacelord mother mother

I lost my soul when I fell to Earth
My planets call me to the void of my birth
The time has come for me to kill this game
Now open wide and say my name...spacelord mother mother

The song.

Think about the lyrics, listen to the song and state your opinion!

Edit to fix the lyrics I copied from a lame site

That could well be the point to the song, but it's one of many that tap the subject matter...Bowie, even Neil Young come to mind.

A flag, though, because it's a great tune and I've never really sat down with the lyrics before.

It sounds like it describes the fall of man to Earth from some sort of godly or heavenly state.........................imo.

Eh, LoneGunMan, you didn´t state your opinion on the subject other than your thoughts about what the song is about. What is your opinion on the subject?

My opinion, well, it´s a song and unless there´s a lot of interesting crossreference i wouldn´t pay attention to it other than the fact that it might be a good piece of music.

Eh, not bad song, better video. I could not pay attention to any references to aliens within the lyrics, had that been the intention of the artist. I was too busy watching the cuties shake their booties in their music video!

lyrics fixed... they didn't say "harmed a child"
I've been stuffed in your pocket for the last hundred days
When I don?t get my bath I take it out on the slaves
So grease up your baby for a ball on the hill
And polish them rockets now, and swallow those pills
And sing oh, space lord mother
Huh, uh huh

There?s a car in the field now in a column of flame
With it's two doors to choose but only one bears your name
You've been drinking my blood well I've been licking your wounds
Well, I'll shave off the pitch now in the scope of your tune
You?ll sing oh, space lord mother
Huh, yeah

I left my throne a million miles away
I drink from your tit
I sing your blues every day
Now give me the strength
To split the world in two, yeah
I ate all the rest and now I've gotta eat you
Well I sing

Built in my nightmares and using my name
You?re stroking my cortex and you know I?m insane
I've squeezed out in hump drive and I'm drownin? in love
Encompass them all to a position above
And sing oh, space lord mother
Yeah, oh yeah

I left my throne a million miles away
I drink from your tit
I sing your blues every day
Now give me the strength
To split the world in two, yeah
I ate all the rest and now I've gotta eat you
Well I sing space lord mother
Space lord mother, space lord mother
Space lord mother

I lost my soul when I fell to earth
My planets called me to the void of my birth
The time has come for me to kill this game
Now open wide and say my name
Space lord mother, space lord mother
Space lord mother, space lord mother
Space lord mother, space lord mother

I think it's about Galactus. Dave Wyndorf is a big comic book fan.

lol.. Galactus Yeah!! That's what I think of when I hear it too.

I did a search and many people seem to agree that this song is just a product of drug-induced hallucinations, which seems to be Monster Magnet's source of inspiration.
