Gay, anti-gay - what's the difference?
I would like some clips from both sides.
Is there an anti-gay or pro-gay conspiracy afoot?
Is there a powerful speech on the topic you would like to share?
Do you believe in a "queer plot" to "homosexualize society"?
I'd say, if you gotta clip either way, and if you can explain your position a little, then let's have a look!
From human rights to church, let's gather the clips on homosexuality.
However, the clips should be about political issues.

Homosexuality and the Bible - one view:
www.youtube.com...
This view supports the idea of a gay conspiracy on society.

OK, if this preacher above is to be believed, then why does he say a woman can wear pants (but only if it's women's pants)?
Isn't "women's pant's" a contradiction by his strict gender divide?

Why can women aspire to be male?
Why can't a man wear "a man's frock"?

Here is a rather gentlemanly debate about homosexuality and the Bible.
Part I was just accolades, here we get into the nitty-gritty.

A devastating gay response:
www.youtube.com...
So far mainly on Genesis 18/19.
How can they pull out one verse about a "man laying with a man as if with a woman"?
What about eating pork and prawns?
Selective morality?
I guess so.
But it continues.

Homophobic is the FEAR of homosexuals. Anti-gay is being against gays. Very big difference. The idea that there are people out there actually afraid of homosexuals is pretty ridiculous to me. I know a lot of people who think it is wrong but nobody who is literally scared of them. It sounds like petty name-calling to me.

So having the split between the terms - does it change the way you feel about homosexuality or gay people either way?

Does "racism" sound better than "anti-black"?

Is it the same?

Does "misogyny" sound better than "ANTI-WOMAN'?

Does "Satanic" sound better than "anti-Christian"?
I suppose only if they catch ya.
Does soldier sound better than terrorist?
Guess not if you're Nelson Mandela.

Wonderful clip: Native American lesbi-gay/transexual youth meeting.
They simplified it: "Two Spirit People".
This was in Montana with much laughter.
I think it says so much:
"Two Spirit People".
People will recognize it much more than "gay" or "lesbian", even in Africa.
We are about spirit - our experience is spiritual. It has little to do with sex.

It is identity between between male and female.
So we walk in two spirits.
And have a laugh sometimes:

It seems like every day there's a new thread with the topic "Gay" in it. I don't know anyone who goes around thinking about it, or making an issue out of the topic in real life. Have to wonder if all these posts are just trolling for a reaction.

What do YOU think about those BLACKS/JEWS/CHRISTIANS, hmmmm??

What I don't understand about religion pertaining to homosexuality is that we are suppose to have been made into the image of God. We were put on this Earth by God and since God doesn't make mistakes then homosexuality is not a mistake. It was meant to be that was because God made it that way.

I don't think its trolling.
Just take some mayor faiths - without the anti-gay stuff they'd have nothing else to say!
I mean what does Genesis 18/19 say about straight people?
Lot's wife turns into a post-nuclear statue.
Next Lot's daughters are impregnated by their own father.
Nobody even looks at that - it's all about the "gay" Sodomites.
But who are ya blaming?
Why don't you add something positive?

Homophobes don't see it that way.
Sin and corruption came into the picture.
To them gayness is not created, but a choice made by fallen mankind.
There's only two stereotypical genders, and nothing between that.

We were talking about this topic the other day...My family believes you are born that way, and it is not a cures or a problem...My brother said something that made us all think:
He stated, that in the wild animals turn and are born homosexual when their packs are over populated, it being natures way of fixing the situation.
This is why he feels there seems to be a increase in the homosexual population...due to over population.
My mother (which is a sweet older women) put in her two cents:
"I also heard of a experiment where there were these mice and they made them all listen to disco music ....and they all turn into gay."
That coming from a little grey haired lady, was to funny...

Wrong. You still don't get it at all. Read carefully:

Are racists "melaninophobics" (fear of dark pigment). No. I'm sorry but fearing black people is different than hating black people. I would strongly object to racists being called melaninophobics because that would be just plain wrong. Just because people are a racist does not mean they are afraid of blacks. Just because people are anti-gay does not mean they are afraid of homosexuals.

Hopefully this makes more sense. Fear and hatred are different. That is my point. So yes, it makes a big difference what you call it. One name is misinformation while the other name is not misinformation. Its not about what sounds better, but rather about correct or incorrect word usage. Deny ignorance.

While most anti-gay sentiment is actually juvenile revulsion of gay sex, there is genuine fear involved due to ignorance of the lifestyle. The fear isn't like fearing bears or bees, but it's more about the imagined consequences that the assumed lifestyle could have on children and society.

Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe there's genuine terror that a bunch of homosexuals are going to run through the streets turning straight men gay with their magic wands.

"Racism" is not to "anti-black" as "homophobia" is to "anti-gay."

The word you'd be looking for is "negrophobia," and it's usually induced after watching youtube videos of Kimbo Slice.

I suppose simply by the social mark of one's gender and race - one could turn into the despised homosexual. Therefore the boundaries of straightness need constant policing.
One could turn "funny" with one homosexual glance.
However, one can never turn a race one is not.
So the fear in "homophobia" is very real.

I was just watching a trailer on Stonewall (www.youtube.com...)
Homosexuals were the most violently feared group in America before that.

Perhaps our sexuality is one of the few things about us that is dynamic.

Perhaps this is why the great battle is raging.

Homophobia is not just fear of external gay people, it is the fear of the self - it is the deep-rooted fear of becomming the gay "Other".

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't believe that YouTube videos are the best source of accurate political information upon which to base opinion. As much as I hate to admit it, you'd probably have a better chance of extracting facts from FOX news.
