The Russian state plans to open a set of hi-tech schools across the country, bringing nano-education to the masses.

The Rosnano state corporation is to allocate 28 million rubles (about $1 million) for the ambitious project, RBK daily newspaper reported.

The idea is to create the league of modern schools which will prepare students for living in the approaching nanotech environment. Rosnano believes that the existing system of education in sciences, including schools, cannot provide enough highly-qualified specialists in nanotechnologies.

This area of science has always interested me. I would think that this tech is going to get big in the future.

I would think that most people would need an understanding of how the tech works, once it begins making its way into the everyday citizens home, in big amounts.

Hopefully some other countries will do the same?

Intresting this tech is still just coming into being, but it will be a while before it goes to a cellular level much less nano or atomic level....But before nanotech schools come into being, we would need nanotech to come into being...But ya it's a intresting technology and should be studied more. And then offcoure would come the concept of how small can one go and be stable. Nanotech is all around us from our bodies to the trees and air we breed, so like usual nature alwredy created such a thing and it is a self serving and replicating machine, with the power that nature has "the ability to go beyond itself" It even named itself...Humanity.

I agree that it is interesting that this tech is still slowly coming out. It has been around for awhile, not too long, but still its not something that just popped up yesterday. I would think that there would be alot more research going into it than there is. I would guess that it is not being studied too much, because not many people have really gone into researching it, or not that many people know about it yet.

I see Russia doing alot of nanotech stuff recently. It will be interesting to see how well all of this stuff Russia is putting into nanotech pays off in the future.

Nano tech is a science of near infinite possibilities, and Russia knows this.

Just think. computers the size of a small pebble. nuclear reactors the size of a pop can, etc... this could all be possible in the future, time will tell
