Glad to see Ron Pauls true character came out,I wondered about him and may have even voted for him at one time but he is just like all the rest of the jealous Beck/Palin haters.Just another "its my way or else" type of politician.

That being said I don't belive in Gods and Devils nor do I much care for Beck or Palin but the hate that is directed to these two people is purty amazing at the least. It just shows how angre the progressives are that there play for control is lost once again.

50 million bucks from Soros to install this prez and in Nov its all gone, what a bunch of "no can do"loosers.

Consider the dems as team B. The Republicans are Team A. Fox is a fake right network owned and controlled by a committed Globalist called Rupert Murdoch. Team A and B have the same management. Becks role in all this drama is to create the illusion that team A ie. Paulin is different from Team B. Americans love their bread and circuses and they will support the Team who puts on the best show. In 2012 it is shaping up to be a Palin Gingrich ticket. Newt has written books on global government, supports a cashless society, and is very much in support of a carbon tax and his views are leftist. Newt has also been a participant, to what extent I do not know at Bohemian Grove events. He is sounding like a born again libertarian and my bet is that he will receive unlimited funding for his 2012 campaign. I expect Newt will have people begging to bring back Obama.

Drawing large crowds means nothing.

In fairness (and with all disclaimers that this is no way a comparison or even allusion to) Hitler packed Nuremberg and Stalin Red Square. Point being that big crowds can be very meaningful. To dismiss it out of hand is to not give credit or appreciate the threat, depending of course on what your personal leanings are.

Oh, a Gingrich/Palin team up...

Sorry, I just vomited in my mouth from the thought of that...

I'm not here to defend Glenn Beck but I have to make some comments about all the wing nuts making wild statements about the Restoring Honor rally.

I attended the rally with my wife because, as a former Naval Officer, Honor and Integrity are very import characteristics to me and they are in short supply in today's political climate. Everyone has their favorite straw man to hold up as the perfect example of Honor and Integrity and everyone else is slime as stated in one post in this thread which I flag as an integrity violation for not being honest.

By no means am I holding up Glenn Beck as the perfect example of Honor and Integrity because he freely admits that he is not perfect. Can the rest of you do that? It takes a humble person with Honor and Integrity to admit they are flawed and have lots of room to improve so at least give him that.

The Restoring Honor rally was part religious revival, honoring of veterans, honoring of the civil rights movement, and a history lesson all with a little humor. All the folks trying to say it was something else (like a tea party event) was not there and is just judging based on THEIR OWN prejudices and is not being honorable.

However having said that, I will say that there was a presence of many tea party militia groups and I feel this was actually a distraction and counter productive at the Restoring Honor rally. In the area where we watch the rally, there were two groups of about 15-20 members each.

They should have left their “don't tread on me” flags at home and brought the Stars and Strips. Observing many of these tea party militia groups, many had their own militia banners flying and to me this was more about “look at me look at me aren't we wonderful”.

One of the other main themes of the Restoring Honor rally was to observe how Dr. Martin Luther King made change happen through the practice of non violence and restraint. Dr. King preached taking the high road even when the “other side” was preaching hate and to never degrade to using violence as part of civil discourse.

Another interesting observation about the press coverage is that is was all about the competing rallies and which one had the largest attendance. Is it not a shame that they could not focus on the messages of each rally because it would have shown there was more in common between the rallies.

My last observation is one about the MLK rally. The President of SEIU-32BJ, which covers the D.C. Area, said those gathered at the Mall with Beck “represent angry white people and hate-mongering”.

Is this the spirit that should be present at a MLK rally when Dr. King preached to judge me by the content of my character and not the color of my skin? I was floored to hear at a MLK rally of someone judging me by the color of my skin.

Well that's about all I have to say. Bottom line is that it was a positive experience and those who say there are hidden and evil agendas at work should have attended the rally and experienced the positive environment.

I salute you for your honesty, and respect your choice and free will to be there at the rally, under the belief that Honour, faith, hope and charity will save America, on the commemoration of the Civil Rights Movement day.

As I had mentioned once before, there are few who were there not motivated by Glenn or Paulin, but to voice out their displeasure at what is happening in US now.

Honour, faith, hope and Charity works both ways, by those given authority to administer as well as by the People. Honour, faith, hope and Charity, and even embracing religion had never been the problem of the American masses. The only problem lies with those in authority. They had lost such attributes.

And to go to the Mall in numbers to tell fellow americans to regain such attributes when it was not lost was a wasted opportunity to have your voices heard by those in authority, for they are the ones who should be the target of your articulation.

Glenn and Paulin had successfully hijacked the day and instead turned your efforts to vilifying your fellow americans instead to those who had gotten us all into this financial and military mess.

Where was the call to address the immigration issues? Where was the call for sustainable wages? Where was the call for relief for those evicted from homes? Where was the call to hold the corporations accountable for fleeing to other shores in the name of profits and neglecting the workers who build up the company and economy?etc, etc?

Instead, a pacified call and general admittance that it was the fault of the people that made the mess through their lack of honour, faith, hope, charity and turning away from religion.

An outstanding job. What next? We should Hara-kiri ( jap term for ritual suicide) when the economy tanks further, saving our masters the bullets spend to cull us all?

Fascism is Socialism with Corporatism .. I don't believe the voters of either the Republican or the Democratic parties are Fascist.... yet why are the parties acting as such? Clearly the vast majority of Americans were against the bailouts of the banks, TARP, "stimulus packages" and so on.. yet they happened. Just like the Republicans keep social programs and even expand them, under Bush we saw the largest expansion of Government since FDR. Astounding for a supposed "Conservative". And now we have a Democrat who bailed out the Auto industry, continued "Stimulus" to no avail, favored the mega Corporation BP allowing it to use extremely harmful chemicals in it's unsupervised clean up of the gulf.

Fundamentally .. what the Republicans and the Democrats do... is no different. If the Republicans wrote the Health Care Reform Act, it would have favored mega Insurance Corporations. Instead, the Democrats wrote it, and it favors mega Insurance Corporations.

Republicans are ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS screaming "Smaller government!" but outside of the state and city level, it almost never happens. Every past Republican office saw expansion of Government employment, service, cost, and power.

If Republicans are trying to be Libertarian, they've failed miserably in all attempts.. everything they've stood for has violated Libertarian ideologies, upto and including their opposition to a Islamic Cultural Center in New York.

But if I were a Liberal.... I'd be equally pissed off, I'd be enraged to see "Liberalism" being used to further not the country and her people, but major corporate interest.

AND WE STILL VOTE FOR THESE ASSHATS!

That's the kicker!

Haha I truly do wonder if perhaps Glenn Beck is a member of ATS and has been for some time? Maybe he reads anti Beck threads about him and takes from others emotions and then tailor makes rants to specifically target people he knows is going to come on here and gripe about it.

And now he moves on from the role of political huckster to religious huckster. He knows where the REAL money is.

www.washingtonpost.com...

Beck was happy and yet he was sad. He seems to have come away from Saturday's rally more convinced of end times, or something close: "I believe we're approaching a last call, all aboard," he said. "I had nightmares last night, because I felt maybe I wasn't clear enough. The message I feel I'm supposed to give you is get behind the shield of God."

Or, he's being sincere, which means he's hearing voices again.

If you enjoy vague, rambling statements about honor and freedom, then this video is for you:

Glenn Beck's "Restoring America" rally - meet the attendees (YouTube)

Be prepared for people honoring the flag by wearing clothes designed to look like one. You know - desecrating it.

From the Flag Code:

(Section 8d): "The flag should never be used as wearing apparel."

Anyway, back to the video. One highlight:

"Muslim isn't just a religion... it's a... it's a lifestyle."

Well, that's correct. Islam is a religion and a lifestyle...just like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism...

"It's a health risk...i uh...I think if I recall...at Ellis Island you had to go through....Yea you did, you had to go through as an immigrant a health screening. We have no idear. No idear what what's coming into the healthsafety [one word] of the general population."

"There are already more mosques in New York than they can shake a stick at? What the devil do they need another one?"

I have one road in my medium-sized city (100,000 people) that has 5 Christian churches in a one-mile stretch. Why so many? And why do I see more being built all over town at any given time? If we're restricting mosques, we have to restrict churches as well.

And none of them complain about being unemployed, hungry, homeless, poor or anything like that. They just feel like they lost some freedoms. But when asked for specifics, they don't know what freedoms they've lost.

:sigh:

Exactly. The truth is that Beck, Palin, Paul, Alex Jones, etc -- all these people are on the same side. The people bashing one person or the other would have been bashing Washington, Jefferson, Franklin or Adams with the same vigor.

They don't all agree on everything but they are all pushing the country in the same direction which is back to a restoration of the powers of government which any hardcore leftist 'take the power from the people and give it to the state' is going to despise.

So you don't believe Republicans are guilty of this also? Also on that part, a decent majority of Glenn Becks show is basically mudslinging trying to make anyone not in line with his Fox News masters agenda, look bad.

Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party

You’re being taken for a ride.

At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the “restoring honor” rally this weekend. In fact, Ron Paul believes, if you’re looking for real freedom, you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights, which Beck and Palin do not fully endorse when you really look at their beliefs. Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more wars or Beck’s beliefs on paying the private Federal Reserve MORE interest on our money by means of a VAT tax.

Ron Paul believes in neither of the above.

Indeed. Palin and Beck are controlled opposition. They are big liars... not to mention Palin is a big idiot... and Beck works for warmongering, Bush's boot licking, pro-torture Fox News... ENOUGH SAID.

Ron Paul right again calling out the scum who pass themselves as leaders.

As alwaysm Ron Paul is correct. Palin and Beck are nothing but necon shills for the globalist elites and the Israelis lobby.

Did you know Goldline also advertises on other networks. So are they all in on it, or is it just Beck that controls the cost of gold. I don't know, just a guess, but I think it could have something to do with the S@@* economy. Times are good and the value of a $ is high= Gold is low and vice versa. Make sense?

Beck, Palin, Romney, Gingrich, OReilly, Sean Hannity, and everybody on the TV news are frauds and traitors to the Republic and I will prove it to you.

First, the federal reserve is a private bank owned by the Rothshcilds and Rockefellers and our founding fathers were AGAINST any banker controlling our money! Do the research if you don't know this already, it's all out there.

So, all our founding fathers said basically we should NEVER have a "Federal Reserve" because it has let bankers control our money. Now guess what??

Beck, Plain, Romney, Gingrich, OReilly, Sean Hannity and everybody else that has a show on TV has NEVER called to End the Federal Reserve slavery system! Ron Paul calls to abolish it EVERY day! lol

So if you are listening to any of these jokers, quit being CONNED. They work for the bankers! If any of you out there can send me a video clip or article where ANY of these traitors has called to End the Federal Reserve then please do so but NONE of you will because it doesn't exist! Our news is FAKE. All the talking heads on there have never called to End the Fed because they serve the Federal Reserve masters! It's pretty basic stuff. Hopefully you get it now and can go listen to the Alex Jones Show or something and get some REAL news.

The more I hear Ron Paul, the more I like him. He's one of the few people that I would cross party lines to vote for (the only other one being Dennis Kucinich).

It's just a matter of watching where things go. If Paul can stick to his schtick for another two years, he might just have a chance of grabbing votes.
