Has anyone ever noticed how the secular socialists never eat their own. When Slick Willie was attacking interns did the NOW attack him, no. When Harry Reid refered to Obama as not speaking with a "negro dialect" did the NAACP attack, no. Please realize the left has adopted the religion of secular socialism and all leftist groups are just individual churches within the same doctrine. For them to attack each other would be like the Methodists attacking the Baptists in a battle aginst Islam.

Therefore people that believe in limited government and individual freedom should put aside their differences with each other for the real agenda just as the left does. Beck although not adpoting the exact platform of Paul generally agrees on the basic premises and are vilified by the MSM so they must be doing something right, so let's not destroy each other from within. An extreme case, the KKK should not be totally thrown under the bus or any other fringe group if they fall under the limited government, individual liberty banner. I can assure you that Marxists,Nambla and other fringe groups of the left are not left out of the Secular socialist tent.

We are in battle with a very cohesive group on the left who can quickly dismiss trangressions as long as they maintain the the overall faith. If the Tea Party, Republicans,Libertarians etc. don't soon start adopting the same philosophy then I fear the socialists will win.

It is the nature of a two party state-

I'm not here to defend Glenn Beck but I have to make some comments about all the wing nuts making wild statements about the Restoring Honor rally.

I attended the rally with my wife because, as a former Naval Officer, Honor and Integrity are very import characteristics to me and they are in short supply in today's political climate. Everyone has their favorite straw man to hold up as the perfect example of Honor and Integrity and everyone else is slime as stated in one post in this thread which I flag as an integrity violation for not being honest.

By no means am I holding up Glenn Beck as the perfect example of Honor and Integrity because he freely admits that he is not perfect. Can the rest of you do that? It takes a humble person with Honor and Integrity to admit they are flawed and have lots of room to improve so at least give him that.

The Restoring Honor rally was part religious revival, honoring of veterans, honoring of the civil rights movement, and a history lesson all with a little humor. All the folks trying to say it was something else (like a tea party event) was not there and is just judging based on THEIR OWN prejudices and is not being honorable.

However having said that, I will say that there was a presence of many tea party militia groups and I feel this was actually a distraction and counter productive at the Restoring Honor rally. In the area where we watch the rally, there were two groups of about 15-20 members each.

They should have left their “don't tread on me” flags at home and brought the Stars and Strips. Observing many of these tea party militia groups, many had their own militia banners flying and to me this was more about “look at me look at me aren't we wonderful”.

One of the other main themes of the Restoring Honor rally was to observe how Dr. Martin Luther King made change happen through the practice of non violence and restraint. Dr. King preached taking the high road even when the “other side” was preaching hate and to never degrade to using violence as part of civil discourse.

Another interesting observation about the press coverage is that is was all about the competing rallies and which one had the largest attendance. Is it not a shame that they could not focus on the messages of each rally because it would have shown there was more in common between the rallies.

My last observation is one about the MLK rally. The President of SEIU-32BJ, which covers the D.C. Area, said those gathered at the Mall with Beck “represent angry white people and hate-mongering”.

Is this the spirit that should be present at a MLK rally when Dr. King preached to judge me by the content of my character and not the color of my skin? I was floored to hear at a MLK rally of someone judging me by the color of my skin.

Well that's about all I have to say. Bottom line is that it was a positive experience and those who say there are hidden and evil agendas at work should have attended the rally and experienced the positive environment.

Put them together and you have NUTS (which speaks volumes of the many Americans that like little children, follow them).

Anyone can throw generalize comments about these folks like you did but can you back it up with something more than your snake oil comment?

i'm sick of the wealthy and rich, who can afford to pay 99% income tax and still be millionaires deciding what everyone else should do. someone should remind beck and palin that they aren't elected representitives of anybody and are just loudmouthed private citizens with no extra privilage or power and equal to the average homeless man as outlined in the constitution.

Certainly. However, if it was an issue, that would be on the table of his solutions. Nobody here is saying it is right. But he still said it's on the table. Sorry, I would never put that on the table no matter how bad things got.

The question is not if he approves. It's if he said he would do it. The quote clearly shows that in a situation of such bad, he would chose that course of action. There in which in my problem with him. The fact he even considered it an option.
