If anything...it probably wasn't even armed. Electronics malfunction all the time and the words "rogue" chopper sound a bit over-exaggerated lol.
Probly just flew in a straight line til they could re-establish communication.
The article mentioned that it did not 'obey commands'.
That wouldnt just be a software glitch? Not responding to a command does not mean it is thinking for itself. And if it did, it seems it could only
buzz the tower or crash into people as it was unarmed.
I knwo it has blades, but that would only be good for taking a person or two before it crashed.
It probably didn't obey commands due to a communications failure of some kind...it even states in the article that these type of things are
routine...only difference this time is it happened to fly into restricted airspace...OOPS
Hey, the geek web site is cool.
Thanks for that.
As to the robo chopper...
Maybe they forgot to feed it a banana or a fish....
or maybe it went hormonal
These AIs are getting pretty advanced these days..
At least when it comes to imitating human faults...
Like unionization.
man if a computer ever became totaly ai I am sure it would take one look at us and leave the planet in hopes of finding intelligent life.
and write this species off as a bad investment
