Oh I know! I have been reading it since I joined when I have extra time. I have many other things I have to read right now mostly for school. I have English right now so they are keeping me busy with their boring essays and reading reading the stargates thread is a nice break lol

It would be nice to have that thread outlined or something but i think that would take forever!

That chat auto-ban thing is a problem.

I spent a while talking an ATS friend into joining the chat room last week for the first time.

My friend quoted a Mod on the show because someone asked what the mod said.

Anyway.....my friend quoted the mod & is now banned from chat & very p'd off.

Semper actually has a very nice voice. I'd like to hear him attempt something serious like "Moon River" and do the best job he can. I think it would be outstanding! Maybe in a lower key than Andy did it.

I was not auto-banned from chat (2nd time), a mod exercised their mod duties accordingly when i used medical terminology for an attempt at a joke.

The mod who banned me has done what they needed to do to let me get back into chat. it didn't work.

I've been told it is a mechanical computer glitch at this point, and in admin hands now. The mod that banned me doesn't know why i can't post in chat. i believe him.

It's not in the mods' hands, so I've been told. But, i shall be listening none the less!

Just wanted to say the live stream sounds really good here in the states - nice job.

I'd call you up if my microphone was working.. too bad I can't get in the ATS chat room w/o 1st making 200 posts; suprised there's not an actual chat room for everyone directly on Skype.

Well since I seem to be having trouble getting on chat...

about the Mods possibly changing the tone or influencing a thread...

I had written a thread about some 5000 year old cave paintings and carvings found.
I included the only photos available -- they were of the carvings. There were 60+ paintings that there were no photos available.
A certain Mod known for being an "expert" in that area posted and said that the article and thread were mistaken. That no paintings were shown.

Well no duh. This mod basically didn't read the OP and posted their "expert" opinion based off of pure assumptions. The thread propmtly died. Over bad info from a mod.
I u2u'd the mod and they replied back apologizing for the mistake, but never corrected themselves publicly in the thread.
I just thought this was sort of poor form.

My only "complaint" about how a mod might have influenced a thread....
Just a "one off" instance.

i've been studying ancient aliens theories since the late 80s.
i have a few dozen books on the subject in my house. (yes i've read them)
i really liked the fact you guys are talking about it. i also have all the ancient aliens series on tape. fascinating stuff, and i think it is barely touched upon for as much information exists about it, by many mediums of communication.
