Get Rid of U.S Political Madness forum

Seriously, it's a totally useless forum full of ignorant threads/posts.

For a site that is supposed to deny ignorance, I've never seen such glaring examples of ignorance as I have in U.S Political Madness.

What would you rather, that we ignore it? If you think it is all BS, why not put your reasons in a thread and educate others on your insight? If we ignore it, we are only embracing ignorance.

Then you know where all the subjects you disdain are located, so you can more easily avoid them.

I'm personally glad it's there, and hope they won't change it.

How it seriously full of useless posts?

I know how to investigate through what might be useless or not useless. It takes a good amount of scrutiny, a good investigation, and a little common sense.

What I would consider useless is a post that is centered around the denial of potential information. I hope you reconsider your position.

First of all it's called the "Political Madness" forum not the "Political Wisdom" forum, thus the oft found silliness contained within is exactly where it belongs.

But to answer your concern, at the top of the Recent Posts page you will find this button:

If you click on it you won't see those threads ... furthermore, if you click on it and bookmark the page, it will save it that way and you'll never see those threads.

Keep in mind that for all the 'madness' there are some good threads and posts to be found there, so perhaps ignoring it all together isn't the thing to do.

Seriously though, that site is so heavily moderated I had to find a dictionary and learn at least six new words.

I thought everyone in this thread was quite polite about their comments even where they disagreed, so I'm not seeing the venom.

There is a simple solution really. If you don't like the US Political Madness formum then don't do there. That goes for any other subjects that you don't like.

As has been pointed out to you earlier in the thread, there is an option for you to remove the USPM forum from your recent posts page, effectively deleting it for YOU.

Others seem to enjoy it, it's politics, as evidenced by the fact that it is the 4th busiest forum over the last week, ahead of even the Alien/UFO forum.

This is possibly the stupidest thread I've ever seen. You provided absolutely no reasons as to why it should be closed. Did you really think your two sentence post would get it closed? What is the point of this?

Here's an idea: Ignore it. I don't like a lot of sections. You know what I do? Ignore them.

I'm not a big fan of POLar-TrICKS either. However, your request violates free speech. Usually those who have something to hide have a problem with free speech. Why deprive people who need to express about political events or subjects of an opportunity to participate on ATS. The subjects would just spill into other forums... and make work for the mod's that keep forums organized. This way they are conveniently filed away in one root so you do not have to fuss with them. Just think of it as a re-cycle bin.
