Preparation hidden in plain site!!!!!

Everyone is being trained to survive after a major disaster happens. There are many tv shows that you watch but dont relize you are being tought how to handle or survive the situations after the major thing happens. The colony, survivor, man vs wild , almost every reality show is teaching you how to handle your self in the new surroundings think about it. May you realize somethings brewing and its not coffee

its amazing when you think about it and watch these shows this is not from a site nor a blog its my own thoughts that i have relized tonight. If you dont your blind. why do you think they waited to rebuild on the wtc site the figured no need to build if something is going to happen. So they are taking there sweet time to save the money

Haha, this is completely ironic, I was thinking the same thing to myself after watching Colony (for the first time) today. Most of these shows are aired on the Discovery channel, but there are now a few more channels airing these types of survival shows. What a coincidence. Considering this isn't news, I believe this is in the wrong section.

if there is a show that talk about something
it will be on the internet

or at least a small article about it

the best before you thread something
since many ATS members dont actualy have a TV(corrupted media lol)
top1 rule is : the source with the link
you can still edit your thread
to update the link

thanks

Dont know if I'll ever try eating a live frog...

But I totally agree... There are so many survival-shows airing at any given time... Dont know about MSM trying to teach us about survival though.. What would be interesting is if these shows are only aired in certain country's, you know, selectively teaching certain etnicity's to be prepared. However the fact that they air these shows in the Netherlands would debunk that inmediately. One of the culturaly most diverse country's in the world. On the other hand. The foreigners living here all have their own tv broadcasting from their homecountry... That would still keep the possibility open..

I dont know... A very interesting thought you presented here though

S&F for the "deep thinking"

Television networks air shows that draw ratings. They literally live and die by viewership numbers. If sitcoms hit big then networks flood the air with sitcoms. When drama is in vogue, same thing - wall to wall dramas.

In this sense the networks do not dictate what type of shows we watch. We do.

So these shows are not there because somebody wants us to be prepared. They are there because enough of us are interested in being prepared to provide the viewership for these shows to promulgate.

I think the majority of these shows are more aimed at people who want to see celebrities and others who have it easy, have a tough time of it - that is where the entertainment value lies. Have a laugh while they struggle at things (they cant do themselves) that really should be taught to every one of us from birth.

Its little to do with actually preparing people for the worst. After all the main talking points after each episode are rarely about the actual survival techniques and methods. They are usually talking about the celebrities personal lives and how they did badly at a specific task. In short, it gives them something else to gossip about.

Star and Flag for the article, ppl do need to get ready and
prepare for things to go a little wonky.

Man vs. wild often takes risks that are borderline suicidal.

It makes for good entertainment, but risky survival.

Survivorman was mostly good information, but he often seemed
more about keeping on the move than surviving.

When you get above average survival conditions in a remote
wilderness you should try signaling and not trek off into
possible worse terrain unless you know that terrain.

A true survivalist would minimize his exposure to risk,
not test his skills in death defying stunts.

Ray Mears was awesome, and The Woodsmaster series was
very good as well, I recommend both.

Woodsmaster was more about North American environment,
with some urban tips and tricks, and Ray Mears was more
global and tribal.

For what is coming in the economy and other aspects the
woodsmaster would be all you need to survive the coming
collapse and other possibly events.

I'd add in KI4U website if things end up in WW3 over fighting
for the damn oil in the mid east.

www.ki4u.com...

The fallout information has old photos so it may look kooky
but it is actually accurate.

Also one of the best survival sites on the web geared towards
following the collapse is SurvivalBlog.

I used to kid around about "Jericho" being a primer for survival after a nuclear attack.

Maybe the joke is on me.

Here we are decades after the fall of the wall in berlin, but yet
billions are still being spent in Russia for building Yamantau.

viewzone2.com...

www.globalsecurity.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

Makes you wonder doesn't it ???

A lot of ppl see the bear bombers and laugh at the Russians,
but when you consider one of their weapons then you realize
we have nothing to detect or stop stealth cruise missiles.

www.globalsecurity.org...

The key paragraph:

The Kh-101 is described as having an "aerial torpedo" configuration, but with swept wings and use of radar absorbing materials, conformal antennas, and other stealth technologies. The design features an INS guidance and satellite navigation receiver for midcourse guidance, with terminal attack using an image matching system. This high precision allows a conventional warhead, though the Kh-102 version has a nuclear warhead.

So with that in mind, it puts things in a different light.

When you see that the empty cruise missile is sold to Iran and
China and they can insert a warhead of their choice it makes
you sit up a bit.

en.wikipedia.org...

These have been adapted to be launched from ships, planes, and subs.

The public is not being kept aware of what is going on.

This makes scud in a bucket look like a joke.

In my case survival shows that i have seen on TV are basically useless.

None of them is in the same type desert as where i live. all the plant life is wrong i live in the mojave desert.
All if the surivial shows i have seen are done in the Sonoran desert.
www.survivalshows.com...

This is the type of desert i live in and there are deferances
www.newworldencyclopedia.org...

There is only one way to survive and that is to know from spending time in the area. and have a knowlage of the area.
