Contact Lens Parasite

This article is about a parasite that can burrow into the eyeball. It can be caught if a person doesn't sterilise their contact lenses properly.

I was never warned about this when I wore contact lenses, so I'm guessing I won't be the only one this is news to.

I assume this is what I was warned about a couple of years ago. I was told to no longer rinse my contact lens case with with water, because of a parasite, and instead to do so with my lens cleaner. She told me that it was something that was recently discovered.
