These are actually pretty good, even got my wife hooked on the series...

Mix a film-noir detective with a modern wizard, and you've got Harry Dresden, private eye and wizard for hire. Like many other popular book series with vampires, wizards, witches, werewolves, etc., he does a good job of making it a believable world, even with all of this craziness.

I'm on about the 5th book in the series (kind of blew through them really).

Highly recommended if it sounds up your alley.

I can't believe this thread isn't a thousand pages long with raving posts from Dresden fans.

The Dresden Files is a truly amazing series, and it saddens me that fewer people are into it than you might expect, given just how fricken awesome the series is. Funny, sexy, well written, sad when it needs to be, characters you can both relate to and look up to. Stars and stones! Dresden was riding a freaking zombie t-rex in book 7.

It's a damned shame that people line up around the block for the chance to buy a copy of trash like Twilight or 50 Shades of Crap, and yet so few people have read Butcher's Dresden Files. Hell's bells.
