Thanks but way too much homework!!

I disagree with you on your violent force thing. People don't care what kind of money it is as long as it's accepted in the market place and inflation is kept in check. People are very practical.

So you enjoy having a gun in your face?

Wether or not people will use the money is not the question.

Of course they will use the money. A "practical" person will use the money rather than face violence. This however does not mean violently imposed money is superior to money that is voluntarily used.

If something is good, it does not need to be violently imposed on the public at gun point. People will use good money on their own without the threat of homicide or imprisonment.

No one I know has ever used fiat money at the point of a gun. I think this is irrelevant.

Every day you use fiat money at the point of a gun.

If you attempt to issue gold certificates to use in financial transactions, the State will seize your property and arrest you.

You have no choice. You must use Federal Reserve bank notes as money or you will be arrested/shot/imprisoned.

I see.

You're proposing there be no law establishing official currency?

I am proposing that the legal tender laws and ban on gold backed currencies be repealed.

The market will create gold backed currencies on its own, and those currencies will drive out the criminal federal reserve notes.

Your avatar says "taxes require violence." Are you also proposing that we have no taxes?

Funding of government should either be by a market based system or voluntary donations.

Civilized societies should not be in the business of using violent coercive force to expropriate peoples' property.

Here's a good lecture on it.

Please tell us in your own words how a market based system would work.

Watch the video.

I'm not going to cram an hour lecture into a forum post when you can hear it from a college professor directly.

You need to understand what it is you're advocating here.

If you can't put it in your own words, you don't understand it.

I'm the one that needs to understand what I'm advocating?

I believe you are confused.

I've already watched the lecture several times, along with hundreds of other lectures, books, and journal articles. You have some catching up to do.

I don't need to do anything.

I am providing you with information, free of charge, because I am concerned about the well being of this nation.

If you chose to review the information provided - good.

If you chose to ignore it - that's your choice.

I obviously would not be able to do Hoppe's presentation justice in a simple forum post.

Okay. Don't answer the question. That's your choice.
