Mexican Police Help Murder Their Own Mayor

State agents arrested six of the mayor's own police officers and said they confessed to involvement in the murder. The suspects had been working for a drug cartel that is fighting a bloody turf war with its rival throughout northeast Mexico, state prosecutors said. Another four alleged gunmen were arrested with automatic rifles and grenade launchers in their possession and accused of being involved in the plot. The revelation had very concerning implications: in Mexico's drug war, officials are now killing officials.

"The killers came for Mayor Cavazos in the early hours of Aug. 16 when seven SUV's rolled up and men in police uniforms descended on his palatial home. Servants stood back terrified, as their boss was forced away at gunpoint. On Aug. 18, his corpse was dumped on a nearby road. There was a mercy of sorts in the manner of his killing - shot dead with two bullets in the head and one in the chest, and spared the mutilation and rape inflicted on so many other victims. "

Now at this point even those who are suppose to serve and
protect have been subverted to kill anyone and anything.

If you live in the border region I'd say your safety is
now in your own hands.

If you are on the Mexican side of the border I'd look at
relocating at least for awhile.

thank you for posting this but really it's not
a surprise to me. I mean most of us knew
it was happening just couldn't prove it til now.

But it does set off bells to ringing when I
read some of these same Policia is now
patrolling parts of Staten Island NY to
protect illegal immigrants.

How is Mexico ever going to win a drug war with their own officials on the drug lords books? I mean, "officials are now killing officials". Hey the US might have the CIA involved in the drug world, but I've never heard of any US officials taking each other out.

They must be paying these a guys a LOT if they're willing to turn on their own people and blow them away.

take away their seed money
by disbanding the CIA.

Yeah it's been like that for quite a while here, every cop you see on the street it's probably a gangster, and if they're not, then they're just corrupt and love to take money from kids using cheap scare tactics on them. They are like the living version of The Simpsons police department, just not funny at all, but pretty much useless in most cases.

It's such a mess here.

The list is endless....not sure where you got the idea US officials don't do such things....and much, much worse.

Some of the cops here in the US realize the war on drugs is pretty futile.



Much like the ppl figured out back during prohibition.

It just lead to booze runners and moonshiners.

Some cops and lawyers have gotten together and decided that
in the long run prohibition doesn't work and it is bankrupting the
country.

Yes, and take away their Homeland Security protection too, and stop allowing US banks to launder the drug money.

The problem is easily solved if they want to. What people need to understand is that the drug 'probem' and the problems on the Mexico border are EXACTLY what the government wants, otherwise it could be stopped within a week.

Really good point there.

Also check out the clinton body count, some of it is coincidence,
but when you read how some of the ppl died it is pretty obvious
that some of it was very odd.

"but I've never heard of any US officials taking each other out" just because in the states they don't always shoot each other doesn't mean they don't take each other out, they do all the time (politically, financially).
