Sorry but lots of potential fails here. For one, Russia and the US will never send "a nuke missile" at each other. If it ever gets to THAT point point it would be mulitples of MISSILES.

Another, If Russia nuked Tel Aviv, then Israel would just nuke back Moscow. Israel has second strike capability with their subs as well as ICBMs-they have enough bombs in their arsenal to completely obliterate the country of Russia...though that means Israel too will be obliterated so i dont think Russia wants to go that route.

Sorry but Russia would lose badly. Israel would down every incoming missile and yet Israeli nukes would detonate at will all across the Russian Republic.

That's quite a funny post. Please tell us you're joking. Ever heard of MIRV warheads? Russia has technology in both intercepting and ICBM/delivery that's probably about 20-30 years ahead of anything Israel has or is capable of producing. Israel wouldn't even get a chance to blast off their nukes before Russia completely wipes it off the map.

If any one is taking bets for the big fight I'll put $50 on Russia. Might as well make it a bit exciting.

Damn it people stop using logic when discussing the Israel/Iran issue. As we have all seen there is no logic involved with this debate. To all the people that think Iran would use the 1st nuke they got on Israel are idiots. They know it would mean their total destruction and they aren't that crazy. As another poster pointed out they did not retaliate in kind with chemical weapons when Iraq used them against their troops.

Why would Iran want to waste it's domestic oil & gas reserves to produce electricity when they could make a crapload of money exporting their oil & gas. Switching to nuclear power generation is the smart move and they have a huge amount of Uranium deposits on their own soil. Why would they want to pay for fuel for their reactors?

Until Israel starts abiding to the UN resolutions against them and signs the NPT and allows IAEA inspectors into Dimona they really have no argument. They crap all over the UN and then demand that same body that they have no respect for to demand Iran to comply to rules they are not willing to do themselves.

What goes around comes around and if they do strike Iran then they get what they deserve. If I just walk up to some dude and punch him in the face then I shouldn't really be surprised when he does the same to me.

This latest announcement from the Israeli regime represents the utlimate pinnacle of arrogance and hypocrisy. Is it possible that they think anyone who is awake would not instantly seem through this.

well, lets see how many resolutions is Israel blatantly violating:

Israel is the target of at least 65 UN Resolutions

source

1. Resolution 106: "...‘condemns’ Israel for Gaza raid"
2. Resolution 111: "...‘condemns’ Israel for raid on Syria that killed fifty-six people"
3. Resolution 127: "...‘recommends’ Israel suspend its ‘no-man’s zone’ in Jerusalem"
4. Resolution 162: "...‘urges’ Israel to comply with UN decisions"
5. Resolution 171: "...determines flagrant violations’ by Israel in its attack on Syria"
6. Resolution 228: "...‘censures’ Israel for its attack on Samu in the West Bank, then under Jordanian control"
7. Resolution 237: "...‘urges’ Israel to allow return of new 1967 Palestinian refugees"
8. Resolution 248: "...‘condemns’ Israel for its massive attack on Karameh in Jordan"
9. Resolution 250: "...‘calls’ on Israel to refrain from holding military parade in Jerusalem"
10. Resolution 251: "...‘deeply deplores’ Israeli military parade in Jerusalem in defiance of Resolution 250"

I agree with you on a few things. The nuclear plant is of little danger to any of us directly. You have to understand- this has less to do with nuclear energy than it has to do with the massive spread of influence Iran will inherit when it's deemed that a country can defy international law and order so easily with no consequence.

We have to be objective when it comes to middle-east info. Realistically, Ahmadinejad is at the very least just as fanatical as the israeli gov. Iran has had plenty of chances to step up and deal responsibly and respectably with the issues that those against them have. By doing absolutely nothing but posturing and bitching--and complaining about how life isn't fair, Ahmadinejad is losing favor every day. I have never in my life seen a leader as blatently rhetorical as he is.

The world has called on Iran to step up, and lead the middle east by example. Instead of spreading love and cooperation, it has fallen into the same game that Israel plays. And that's fine-- but you have to realize, this cannot go on forever. Neither the U.S., nor Israel, nor France, nor Germany, nor Saudi Arabia, nor U.A.E., nor Britain, etc etc etc (the list is REALLY long) will allow the world to breed another North Korea. It's a shame that this is undoubtedly going to lead to war, and Ahmadinejad will eventually bring his country down with him.

That is my prediction.

From all that i've read on the topic-- everyone believes that Ahmadinejad isn't suicidal, and that he's actually quite smart. But there is an obvious disconnect in communication between Iran and the countries it continues to give the middle finger to.

Nuclear Energy is NOT cheap. And we won't run our cars on nuclear energy in the future, this isn't going to replace the need for gasoline, instead it will supplement existing energy sources inside iran. Iran has a legitimate right to use Nuclear Energy, but the world has shown that it doesn't need the enrichment capabilities it lies to it's citizens about. It doesn't need to enrich Uranium to 20%, it doesn't need it in the quantity it produces, and it doesn't need it on the scale it intends on producing it with.

The bottom line is: Iran is purposely sticking its nose up to the west & israel out of hate. And they don't like that.

Never underestimate Israel, they probably have enough nukes to wipe out the middle east (Thanks to the U.S). Whatever move they chose to make the U.S will always back them. Russia does not like the U.S/Israel and will back Iran. What people fail to realize is that behind the curtains Israel has been the real super power or the world, they get away with almost anything. And who said the Jews are the chosen people? They migrated there and took all the Palestinian land, the excuse of Israel being "the promised land...it cannot be destroyed" is silly. They can always rebuild it. I just don't think Israel will wait for Iran to make a first move. China is what we should all be worried about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O_o

As I said in this thread, Cold War is almost here.

Iran unveils 'ambassador of death' bomber

TEHRAN, Iran — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Sunday inaugurated the country's first domestically-built, long-range, unmanned bomber aircraft, calling it an "ambassador of death" to Iran's enemies.

Speaking to a group of officials Ahmadinejad said, "The jet, as well as being an ambassador of death for the enemies of humanity, has a main message of peace and friendship."

The goal of the aircraft is to "keep the enemy paralyzed in its bases," he said, adding that the jet is for deterrence and defensive purposes.

The president championed the country's military self-sufficiency program, and said it will continue "until the enemies of humanity lose hope of ever attacking the Iranian nation."

It would be funny if it turned out to be an old plane from World War 1.

Quite honestly, I say God Bless Iran if their reactor is for peaceful purposes Every nation has the prospects of their own "Atoms for Peace" program and if they achieve it on their own even more kudos to them.

If Mahmoud is just jerking the world around and really means to deliver on his promise of wiping the U.S. and Israel off the face of the map then the IAEA needs to keep both eyes on Iran and Obama needs to keep the football in his hands instead of a golf club.

Should so much as a gram of Plutonium or ounce of enriched Uranium turn up missing they need to be shut down immediately.

As someone who lived through the Iran Hostage Crisis in 1979 the melody of the Beach Boys "Barbra Ann" floods to mind with the lyrics of Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran...

Im dead serious. And Israel has anti-missile defense capability as well....its just a LOTS smaller land-mass to cover thus any that do get throough will be detrimental. Oh yeah, and the Russian MIRV wont do any good against an SLBM launched right off of its coast.

I al;so doubt that Russia has much of ANYTHING that is 20-30 years "ahead" of Israel. Israel has and develops pretty much the most cutting edge crap today....if not cutting edge, its definitely not decades behind other countries.

Iran has plenty of gas and oil and can use that for energy til the cows come home.

They want to sell it though, and they want to be left alone.

As long as they just want to be left alone, and want nukes to ensure that they ARE left alone, to develop in peace - free from Israel and the US constantly meddling in their government, I can't say that I blame them.

Iran is a beautiful country and they can be a world power and I think everyone knows it. They have water and natural resources and a hardworking people that are, as a group, pretty bright in a lot of matters.

They haven't always been so religious either. I almost suspect that with progress, they might lighten up.

To me, they are like a porcupine/skunk chimera that really wants to ball up and just defend itself - but if they keep being provoked, they might let out a big noxious stink and some poisonous barbs.

Dude are you on drugs?
You don't stay current with weapons systems do you?
Have you heard of the new Russian Bulava missiles for example, which by the way even U.S. and Israel don't have anything comparable to?

It has anti-interception measures which makes it uninterceptable by anti-missile systems of the world.

en.wikipedia.org...

It not only has special shielding against EMP pulse, able to resist a nuclear blast as close as 500m, and has evasive maneuvering which consists of the missile wildly and erratically jerking around mid flight during its final approach to the target which makes anti-missile systems useless.

Russians have been saying for a while now that this missile renders every single anti-missile system on earth useless. Now imagine a barrage of hundreds of these missiles, all MIRV'd by the way with 12 nukes EACH inside their warheads, raining down on Israel. You truly think Israel stands a chance?
Come on mate, get REAL. Israel would not be able to land a single strike on Russian soil. Israel would cease to exist within minutes.

Keep in mind Russia also possesses arguably the most advanced anti-missile systems in the world as well.

news.xinhuanet.com...

www.breitbart.com...

ever heard of the S-300? You know the missiles that the entire world fears and is considered more powerful than the Patriot Missile complexes that Israel fields.

en.wikipedia.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

and Russia is already several generations ahead of that.

"S-500 will reportedly be able to outperform the S-400, which already outperformed the U.S. Patriot Advanced Capability-3 system.[4]"

The Patriot system is what Israel has that U.S. gave to it. And you think Israel can compete with Russia in these terms?

How about Russian Tor-M

www.youtube.com...

it goes on and on my friend. Israel simply can't compete.

As America becomes weaker China and Russia strengthen their

arsenals preparing for the show down for World War III. Will Iran use

the enriched uranium for nuclear weapons? I think most already know

the answer to the question including Israel. Russia and China will

side with Iran and will form a stronger alliance as the clock keeps

ticking.

The U. S. has intentionally left the back door open letting every kind of

undesirable from around the world into this country from Mexico. The

U.S. backed down from putting a missile defense for Poland leaving

the door open for Russia. This is part of the whole of the plan and to

spend the U.S. into oblivion as Russia increases oil production to

increase their wealth and the U.S. goes into greater debt to China.

To weaken the U.S. even more regulations and taxation are being

forced upon businesses small and large along with more socialistic

programs. This Great Nation, The United States Of America has more

oil and coal and other natural resources that we can tap into making

a big dent in buying down the National Debt. This would create

millions of jobs as the U.S. transitions using Hydrogen for automobiles

and nuclear power plants to generate electricity. If not we will be left

behind by the rest of the world economies.

This is all a plan to weaken the U.S. as our enemies prepare for war

and we are being disassembled from within. Israel knows they will

have to go it alone when it comes to their survival. ^Y^

The biological weapons will be used on China since that's the quickest way to reduce the population. They will attack unnoticed and wait until the death toll is at its peak. Iran is no problem for them, they don't need advanced weaponry.
