there is an interesting discussion going on here about one of the alleged accusers. well worth reading for the many interesting things that have been dug up about this person and their possible motivation for crying 'rape'. (especially the 7-point revenge instruction manual)

A senior Swedish prosecutor has ordered the reopening of a rape investigation into Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Public Prosecutions Director Marianne Ny said there was "reason to believe a crime has been committed" and the crime was classified as rape.

Last week prosecutors cancelled an arrest warrant for Mr Assange on accusations of rape and molestation, saying he was no longer suspected.

Mr Assange denies any wrongdoing saying the accusations are "without basis".

The decision to reopen the case follows an appeal by a Swedish woman who has accused Mr Assange of raping her.

Request for detention of Mr. Assange Director of Prosecution, Ms. Marianne Ny, has requested the District Court of Stockholm to detain Mr Assange in his absence. – I request the District Court of Stockholm to detain Mr. Assange in his absence, suspected of rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion. The reason for my request is that we need to interrogate him. So far, we have not been able to meet with him to accomplish the interrogations. Due to the ongoing investigation and the parties involved, the prosecutor cannot at the moment give more information concerning the suspicions or which investigation matters have been conducted. After the hearing on the detention issue, which starts at 2 pm, more information will be published concerning the outcome of the hearing and its consequences. Director of Prosecution Ms. Marianne Ny will then also be available for interviews, +46 31 739 41 04, preferably in Swedish.
