How many of you ATS Obamacare advocates swore by and stood behind the president's "projections" of lower costs; his "promises" of savings and reduced deficits?

How many times did you mock or ignore the conservative voices here warning of the facts, the deceptions and the inevitable "revelations" that would come following passage of "The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act?"

(Just as with other nanny-state legislation, the Act does the EXACT OPPOSITE of its title! )

What are the Dems saying now, with their asses on the line come November?

Dems retreat on health care cost pitch
Key White House allies are dramatically shifting their attempts to defend health care legislation, abandoning claims that it will reduce costs and the deficit and instead stressing a promise to "improve it."
The messaging shift was circulated this afternoon on a conference call and PowerPoint presentation organized by FamiliesUSA — one of the central groups in the push for the initial legislation.
The presentation also concedes that the fiscal and economic arguments that were the White House's first and most aggressive sales pitch have essentially failed.
...

The presentation's final page of "Don'ts" counsels against claiming "the law will reduce costs and [the] deficit."

The presentation advises, instead, sales pitches that play on personal narratives and promises to change the legislation.

OK, so it doesn't insure all the uninsured it promised.

It IS a tax, as argued in defense of the "individual mandate," for which you will go to jail (BHO supplicants vehement denials and ad hominem attacks notwithstanding).

And, it will not lower costs or reduce deficits.

Now, the best that can be said for Obamacare is that Dems "will improve it" if only we trust them some more and put them back in office.

Aside from empowering more union and handout-dependent constituents, what exactly, does the Act accomplish?
