Not a scientist but I always find the sun activity interesting - the sun is waking up and has been more active lately. It has done this before. I don't see anything unusal or signifcant in the images for us to worry about at this time. I doubt it has anything to do with 2012 - you would probably get a better response from scientist if it were not in this forum. But then again if you want discussions about 2012 then you will get a different perspective. IMO

not sure the edges are completely straight, looks like a 3d wave viewed from 200degree angle. it just appears to be straight.
but mabye i'm wrong, always open to suggestions.
