You are the one who is making religion such a big deal. Are you denying that those who killed the Indians were "Christians" -- isn't Brazil a "Christian" country?

An amazing story, how sad for him to be alone, did they say how old this fella is?

I'm really happy they decided to respect him and give him his "space" but still to be all alone is just so sad in my eyes.... but maybe he likes it.

Wonder if he shot arrows because he just wants to be left alone or he's scared.

Was there any pictures of him?... Am going back through the thread to read the whole article.

Great Post, I really enjoyed this story!

well they estimate him to be in his 40's.

Yes it's got to be lonely out there living in isolation

he probably shot arrows for both reasons.

I know of no pics of him as with camouflage on
per the op, he's darn near invisible.

You said what it means. The question is "who/what" killed the rest of the tribe(s)?

Even an Idiot can figure that out!!

Natives, gotta love em'

As a brazilian, I find it sad that he's the last of his kind, I always had a fondness of the natives i lived near... ever since they tried to adopt me by bartering bead necklaces with my parents

I'm with you. You have to LUV them.

I live on the East End of Long Island, have seen what the "white man" has done to the Shinacock indians.

I used to Live in Oklahoma -- same thing.

Maybe the Brazilian government could send a female agent to check him out. He might like that. But just in case, she should wear a kevlar vest under her blouse.

S&F for this find!

Quick Send Him A Woman

i think its important every man tell his story before death, isnt that part of why we reproduce?

if we dont send him a woman then atleast drop him a cell phone

Some of the markings he makes on trees have suggested to indigenous experts that he maintains a spiritual life, which they've speculated might help him survive the psychological toil of being, to a certain extent, the last man standing in a world of one. *

What a priceless lesson pointing to the infinite gap between solitude and loneliness.

Sorry dude... your stuck in the mental trap that people are what they claim to be... try reading my post again.

I am responding to the bashing of religion by those who understand it not.
