UFO sighting + Plane missing = BC! Aug 18

Few days ago, there was a massive UFO sighting just half hour from where I live, sadly…. I missed it. However the photos posted on this, are said to be NOT the actual photos and some say it is, so I don’t know if they’re from this event or not. This happened over a very popular lake in BC around 2am.

Apparently massive amount of people called this in, saying;

"At around 2 a.m., she saw some crazy-ass lights hovering over the lake," Read more: www.vancouversun.com...

"I thought I noticed something odd with a really bright object in the eastern south sky towards Chilliwack," said Alick. Now what’s bizarre is on the same day, a plane that would have flown over the lake has been missing and no trace of it has been found.

This plane would have flown from Penticton to Victoria, the fly path would have been very close or over this lake. Also this is a very popular summer destination so if plane would have crashed near or around this lake people would have knows.

The other weird thing is, the plane just went missing…. With not calls in for assistance, problems, etc… my friend is a pilot and owns one of these planes, last time I went flying with him I recall how far up we were… if something were to go wrong you would have solid 5-10 minutes to call in the problem, but nothing came in… the plane… just vanished!

Few hours later these UFO sighting was seen by many people over the lake…. If the photos are accurate we’ve see this type of formation before. If photos are not legit, new ones will come to light soon. Personally I have hard time to consider this 2 events to be an accident, I don’t believe in “accidents”.

Anyhow am I reading into this too much? Anyone else feels this is a bit too weird to have happened in the same night and maybe even in exact same location?

Here is a short piece on plane crashes in the last 4 months.

Out of the 77 worldwide 3 have been in British Columbia (Which I'd say is good going for them, down on last years figures).

Plane crashes happen all the time in B.C. and I don't expect another one happening recently is any cause to consider a Foofey to be the culprit for it.

I'm sure you'll get a slew of experts in here in no time though to either back up my opinion or yours.

Apparently the plane never made it onto the Vancouver radar which picks up planes around the Chilliwack area.

The search is being conducted between Penticton and Princeton.

No signal was received from the emergency locator beacon. Just like there was no signal from the plane that crashed in Alaska recently...

I was only able to get one link to work - the one with image and reports, and the report of the plane missing. Difficult to say if there is a connection. Do you think there are any vids of the UFO - it has a V formation and looks bluish from the image. I will flag for possible future updates.

are we looking at the object and its reflection in the water?

The photos were said to be taken of the object, so I don't think it was the reflection on water. Yes, it does look like a V shape. I'm still looking into this, see if there are more photos. Apparently from people talking, some took photos that are not on the web yet.

The 'missing plane' link opens, but there's nothing there.

I too would be suspect of these two incidents that occurred around the same area at around the same time.

Interesting to see what developes.

The UFOs (sorry to be the one who says it) look like sky lanterns.

But I remain open-minded.

Don't these emergency signals supposed to go off when plane crashes? If no signal is being transmitted, maybe the plane did NOT crash.... maybe abducted!?

I've seen this type of thing before, actually saw a video, and they weren't lanterns. In the videos I saw, these zig zag shapes, would appear for seconds, then change immediately to something else.

Again, from what I'm reading on the news forums, few have said the photos posted here are NOT the actual UFO sightings, they are older photos from a previous event.

I do not know yet, if these photos are from this event, or the news agencies used some other photos.... why... I don't know...

I'll keep digging, I'm sure one of these people that saw this huge UFO... took photos of it. This was seen by "many" people and I just talked to a buddy of mine telling me about how he was talking to his friend telling him how he saw a UFO the night before while at buddies cabin (very close to Lake)

He said, the object was very fast moving, change directions immediately and was very, bright... it was hovering above the water for a while, then moved real fast.... he said he is %100 this was not a helicopter or lanterns, etc... as it was very large and fast. Also he said there was no sound what so ever....

At the moment you are obviously very excited because an idea has caught your attention and you want to get to the bottom of it - however until you have your facts straight and have something clear to present to us we have nothing more to go on with here than your conjecture that a plane may possibly have been abducted by a UFO.

A plane in a region of Canada well known for plane crashes during meteor season immediately following a period of particularly strong Northern lights.

I'm hoping this goes towards an evidence based slant (even eye witnesses would be nice) soon.

I once had someone pose the question: What if somebody constructed a UFO to look like a plane?

I didn't really think it was possible until after I read this thread. Interesting stuff.

to my untrained eye the very first pivture looks like a cyclandrical object reflecting off the water
the bottom half seems duller (the reflection?)
it would also seem we have another chinese airport UFO
plenty of witnessess but maybe not the correct pictures

Well, I was never there, so my entire post is based on MY theory of what has happened... trying to connect dots, based on some logic and some imagination. Either way, I posted this up here to hear what YOUR theories are!

I'm going to jump in right away before the sky lantern idea gets out of control. I live in BC and there is a HUGE and I mean HUGE fire ban in the province. No one would ever ever ever let a lantern go over the forest during one for the driest seasons on record risking a $2,000,000 fine for causing a forest fire.
