Tanks! It took me all of five seconds to see this controversy this way. It pissed me off to see how some will use those 3000 lost lives to justify their hate and bigotry.

So......
If a state or states try to break away from the U.S. they need to be blown up and machine gunned?
Regardless of anyones views of slavery, any state should have the right to break away from a federal government they consider overarching and illegitimate.
a separate nation (or at least saw themselves as such) at the time of the US Civil War, so therefore they were in fact an enemy of the United States Of America which they were at war with.
