Well done! The new code can't be MD5, because MD5 produces a hash that is always the same length. It is also almost impossible to decipher because of that.

We do have the key for this... It is at the bottom of the list. We are wondering if this key is the actually code or is the code the real code and just have to find what type of encryption. hmmm

It's interesting how "CRUX" appears in it so much...11 times, to be exact. "Crux" is the name of the constellation known as the "southern cross." great/southern/land, southern cross...maybe crux is the clue, and the cipher is eye candy, like that previous cipher with the plaintext in the middle.

Encryption methods we can rule out, because their output is different:
- DES: hexadecimal or ASCII
- AES: hexadecimal or ASCII
- RCA (I think the number code from the beginning is RCA): numbers + spaces or ASCII
- PGP: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, /, =
- Blowfish: hexadecimal or ASCII
- Base64: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, +, = and a few other characters

The ciphertext has character a-z, A-Z and 0-9 with near-random frequency distribution. This indicates a more difficult encryption method.

It could be a more difficult version of the autokey cipher, but it would have to be much more complicated that the standard autokey cipher then. Especially the absence of spaces makes me believe that this is not an autokey cipher.

I think PurdueNuc may be right, because I found no encryption method that can produce these results.

It is not an autokey based on the a-z, A-Z, 0-9 alphabet. I made a 62*62 chart, but the decoding gives non-sense. I just wanted to tell this, before anyone else wastes 15 minutes making a chart.

what keyword did you use? and since the letters a thru f are represented in the code, maybe its based on a-f instead *shrug*

The key was the autokey with the decrypted following it. Simple reverse autokey encryption.

it looks like it might be xoft or base64.
