Corruption (most recent) by country

DEFINITION: A CPI Score relates to perceptions of the degree of corruption as seen by business people and country analysts and ranges between 10 (highly clean) and 0 (highly corrupt). Includes police corruption, business corruption, political corruption, etc. Data for 2005. Linkie

...we're ranked 3rd cleanest of corruption...unless you're living in Iceland, or Finland (equal to NZ) then NZ ain't too bad in the corruption stakes... from Iceland or Finland???

The problem with this index is it's mainly geared towards military spending, power and involvement in conflicts, so most big countries tend to be lower down on the list.

Of the 15 most populous countries in the world, only Japan, Germany and Vietnam make the top 50; both Japan and Germany both have statutory limitations on their military spending and involvement after World War II, which is bound to give them an inaccurately high ranking.

It's clear that small countries like New Zealand, Iceland, Luxembourg, Finland, Slovenia and the like, will rank highly, because they are not going to get marked down for factors such as: weapons imports/exports, military capabilities, number of conflicts fought, armed service personnel etc.

its hard not to be peaceful in a country that is full of sheep. the sheep out number new zealanders by 3,000,000 to 1. someone should go to new zealand and check if they'res still people there.

LOL you are cruel randomname, I would migrate there anytime
(first 2012 sun!)

RainCloud dude, you are making other people country looks bad. You make my reputation bad! Watchout your mouth next time.

The post just want to promote Nation Master instead of some copy paste website for reference. The website exist solely to provide analysis of countries, which fits the OP post.
You cant win it all you know, being top 20 in everything is a very bad thing.

NZ is very nice country, a bit cold but have the most beautiful scenic nonetheless, its politically stable without too much problems arise, economy is booming with the exports and life is super easy there. If you want peace of mind, New Zealand is it!
