O say can you see...this fascist state rising...by the dawn's early light? What so proudly we hailed...what was too big to fail...what had to be bailed out...at the twilight's last gleaming...there's no spill in the gulf, don't worry just send your tweens to the next twilight screening... whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight...whose broad stripes stand for bars in a police state, right?

O'er the ramparts we watched were so galantly streaming...live feeds from wikileaks...

And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air...over Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon to be Iran...gave proof through the night that our flag was still there...and that uncle sam has military bases everywhere...o say does that star spangled banner yet wave...or did it fall to a man in an Afghan cave?

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave...I see the flag of fascism wave.

Love,
Dragon

Thanks love it. Great poem.
You should post it in protest songs as a contribution.
It could be a song.

You sure hit the nail on the head my friend.

My national pride has turned to disgust.

Mumma, oh my god, that's so funny...
I don't know why... I took that part out because I felt maybe it didn't go well.

I will put it back, mumma

Well, that's all right, mama
That's all right for you
That's all right mama, just anyway you do
Well, that's all right, that's all right.
That's all right now mama, anyway you do

And I would like that, but don't want to be sued, by the Francis Scott Key family...even though I would compose my own original music...I don't want them to be like "you can't use it. Hot damn it that's the star spangled banner. It doesn't matter you feel your nation is being abused. You can't just go re-arrangin' things that are sacred!"

to which I would just say " It's about my nation, and these fools have mangled it!"
