I demand more posters!!

thanks so much for those who contributed, i've never seen many of those posters... very powerful messages, both allies and axis propaganda. I do like axis posters more, some how they do make you think they're superior...

Can someone give a little insight on a few things
War Bonds of course, everyone knows that one

but save cooking fat for explosives?
Travelling hurts the war? Do you reall need to go?
Buy Coal? Coal?

What are these things all about?
What do they have to do with what?

And wow, the mentality back in the days!!!!

Rendered fat with the right chemicals is used to make explosives.

Fuel was scarce back then and the entire country had to drive less so they had enough supplies to keep tanks, jeeps trucks ect. supplied.

Coal was the primary fuel for cargo ships. It took hundreds of thousands of trips from the US to Europe and to the western Pacific to supply the war.
Every winter people would order coal for heating their homes and it caused shortages. They were encouraging people to buy coal during the summer and early fall so that the winter shortages would be reduced.

With a war as big as WW2 it wasn't about tactics or technology as much as it was about logistics.

And some in theatre maps. I had more but regrettably, they have been corrupted. So they are quite unusable.

I should also say, this... is all she wrote. that's everything I have... enjoy.
