Al-Qaida's No. 2 offered his condolences for the nine Turkish pro-Palestinian activists killed in a confrontation with Israeli commandos, but slammed the Turkish government for its support of Israel, in a message issued Sunday.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

The situation of Turkey seems to be really complicated... Are they really playing on both sides to help reach peace, or just profiting from the press it gives them.

If a specialist of Turkey foreign relationship is listening, I would be glad to be enlightened.

al qaeda are the biggest hypocrites on the face of earth and they all deserve to be hanged like criminals.

first, they get their money from wahabi saudi arabia, an arab country that has the best ties with america and the west.

second, they go killing innocent civilians in afghanistan, pakistan, iraq and the western countries while the true zionist criminals are murdering palestanian children.

now turkey stood up to israel in the flotilla operation, and al qaeda havent done anything, yet they demand turkey to do more...

those al qaeda criminals work hand in hand with saudi arabia/israel/america.

an example, when america wants to invade yemen. all they have to do is get saudi arabia to order al qaeda into destabilising yemen, now america has to go and fix it. when america gets there and kills a few innocent people, the yeminis get pissed off and fight back. but the USA will claim they're al qaeda and therefore kills more innocent people. just like in afghanistan...

if the USA really wants to end terrorism, then they should strike the heart of al qaeda, SAUDI ARABIA.

but they wont, they work together to bring a NWO...

Aren't they a bit late to the game? Turkey and Israel split ways a couple of months back. No airspace...the flotilla disaster. Ring any bells, al?

Very odd that Al Qaeda should warn Turkey to cut ties with Israel when Turkey have been on the verge of doing so.

But of course. If Turkey cut ties with Israel now, it may look like it happened because Al Qaeda warned them too, as opposed to Turkey being angered by Israel's flotilla raid and Israel's refusal to apologise.

And as Turkey becomes a vocal opponent of Israel, Turkey will be painted as a sympathiser of Al Qaeda and etc.

Very clever TPTB, very clever.

Al Qaeda.....Al CIAda...

I don't believe this one bit. Turkey has been very critical of Israel lately and right now, Turkey seems like the best bet that the Islamic world has. In fact, it would only benefit both Israel and the US for Al Qaeda (or what we believe Al Qaeda to be) to attack Turkey.

Think about it... If Turkey gets attacked, they will be much more likely to side with the US-Israeli agenda. In fact, many already argue that the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks were to do the same thing to both the US and the UK. Wouldn't it seem that the best way to win the hearts and minds of public, is to have the "enemy" attack them?

In fact, many people argue that Turkey's recent policies towards Israeli, is due to public pressure. What better way to redirect that public pressure, than to have the "enemy" attack that public?

I am very confused about this story, that is why I hope someone intimate with Turkey foreign relationship will jump in and clear the fog off the air.

This is Israel media propaganda. Turkey media report nothing about this. The only source is from 2 Israel website (for now).
Pretty stupid for al-qaeda to say that. I sense something wrong. Its like Turkey is friend with Al-Qaeda, which is not.

Turkey news agency said nothing about al-qaeda, but they do report this.
Percussion bombs explode in Turkish coastal cities
UAE concerned at german-release of israeli murder suspect
Turkey seems more concern with Germans, I dont know why, prolly of the Nazi thing.

I think the confision stems from what Turkey does in public and what they do in private. Turkey is like Jordan in its relashionship to Israel. Publicly they do not support Israel and at times condem her because of public perception. However in the less public military and intelligence levels ties remain very close. They both know that ties to Israel is good for them but, they also have to deal with such ties not being popular. This is something Israel is used to when dealing with Muslim countries. Turkey likes to cover its bases. Its is in NATO and wants in the EU, it has close ties with the US these things counter the main threat to Turkey that is Russia. They also keep close ties with Israel as the only power outside of Russia in the region who is a legit military threat to them. They however down play all those ties as they also try and be a leader of the Islamic world. The want to provide a more modern secular version of what a modern Muslim state should be like. To do that they have to be careful they are not seen as a puppet of the west.
