I would help those that help themselves.
It's not just a monetary issue, or a charity issue, or a global humanitarian issue..it's a common sense issue.

Stop whinging, whats a lousy $31 Million to help 2 million starving people..

You lot should be screaming blue murder about the $1 Billion spent to wine and dine all them freeloading pollies that came for the G20 meeting..

What good did that money do?
They could have video conferenced for a few million..

Edit to add: I do agree with you though simply because most of the $31 Million will not make it to where its needed...

i think it was a billion dollars or something in the hole,,,, don't quote me

down hill skiing,,, or feed starving people,,, at least the latter is a more noble choice

The answer is to stop giving to ANY charity and demand that your taxes don't go to ANY charity.

Wow, what a reply, I'm with you 100% on that one.

I've often wondered "where" the money goes that is donated to charity'.

Just ask the people of Haiti, I'll bet a fraction of the money donated has been "lost".

AND it seems that when there is some natural disaster in a country, governments around the world seem to
"FIND" millions in a heartbeat.

Look after your own I say............
