Just a couple ideas:

Maybe this thread would be better suited for the Alt. Sub. Conspiracy forum...

And perhaps you could start with a post about narco violence...like contribute a story first?

i dont understand your logic- this is as current events as you can get.
i fail to see what story i could provide, this is the story- theres a blog about narco violence and you can educate yourself on what's going on.

That's just it though. It's not a blog about narco violence is it? It is basically just a title of a thread.
If you don't have anything to contribute, why did you even start the thread?

Now perhaps if your OP had something like a link in it, or an article, I would see your point.

I am assuming this is what you meant:
www.blogdelnarco.com...

Since it is in Spanish and this is an American site here is an article about the blog:
blog.foreignpolicy.com...

It's an area I know litte about and I want to know more, so thanks, OP, for the heads up. I'll look into it.

My understanding of Mexican politics started to slip around the year 2003. At the time, I was perhipherally following the situation in the Mexican financial industry. I became convinced that the banks had, at that point at least, been totally compromised by the narcotraficantes. The whole system seemed like the most transparent money laundering scheme on the planet; I couldn't believe the word financial industry wasn't more up in arms about it. Ha-ha, silly me, what did I know. I hadn't lived though the surreal funhouse years of the late '00s yet, when the financial world on a planetary level collectively dropped even the pretense of being sane and fair.

Basically, my impression is that Mexico has been a failed state for the last 10-15 years at the federal level and that all power has devolved to the state level. There is no functioning central authority in Mexico anymore. It's warlordism, like China in the 1920s.
