I just saw this, and the previous post.

Your point?? (Oh, I see after the slightly childish and inane bits, you tried to "pull a fast one" with the "g-force" ploy).

I'd rather ASK YOU a few things.....how many hours do you have? If any at all, how many in a Boeing? How about the 767?

Now (can't remember if it was you, or not, who slammed the YT vid I found)...but that vid showing a crew evaluating the Vmo and Overspeed Warning System was illustrative of the ease with which a rate of descent was arrested, and the airplane leveled off....EASE, due to minor pitch change required....and, NO ABRUPT control forces required...THUS, no excessive Gs. (Did it LOOK like they were experiencing a heavy G-load in that video??)

Furthermore, the video evidence shows the airplane in nearly level flight, seconds before impact. This, from the views from across the river. Other angles DO show an increasing angle of bank, just mere moments before impact....a "course correction" as he adjusted his aim. AND, that bank angle??

A little task, as an educational tool....research it. Use the videos to obtain an approximate bank angle, then search the Web for the G-force calculator FOR any various angle of bank.

To assist you, a video compilaiton of several angles of United 175:

Thanks for the vid Weedwhacker...
I watched it and to be honest, that does NOT look like a high speed pass to me...
What would YOU estimate it's speed to be???

It WAS a high speed pass, and in the aviation community the 57 with the rollers are known as the hot rod of the skies.

When I was a kid, I used to play Chuck Yeager's Flight Simulator on the family's AT Clone using an ultra crapulous VGA monitor. Black and orange were the only colours, with a few shades in between. And the resolution was so low that even games like Tic Tac Toe were highly pixelated.

CY's FS was the most primitive computer program ever! Heaps of fun, though.

And even as a 7-8 year old, I understood Yeager's no-nonsense appraisal of my reckless approach to flying aeroplanes.

"Wings ripped off" was his terse assessment, every single time.

Needless to say, this resulted in the game being terminated. Such is the nature of structural failure.

Look, it's pretty simple. The plane doesn't just cease to exist when it hits the structural failure point. It doesn't automatically explode just because it reaches a mark on a graph that Balsamo has made himself.

The likelihood is that the planes were risking severe structural damage. But the pilots, judging by what they did, probably weren't that bothered. I'm guessing.

Balsamo didn't invent the graph. It is an accurate representation of a 767's flight envelope. But if you think the graph is wrong, perhaps you can produce the correct version.

The planes didn't just hit the mark of structural failure. They went beyond it by 85 knots, pulling Gs in the process.

Whoever was flying the plane may have shown a flagrant disregard for Boeing's safety guidelines, but the plane still knew the score. At least, it SHOULD have.

*** sigh ***

Then I'll ask YOU. Draw up the graph properly, or STFU.

Weed, the situation is more dire than I first realised. Never will I be boarding another international flight until I find out which airline you work for. Not only do you need to go back to flight school - you need to go back to pre-school.

I'll be back tomorrow when I have a few hours to list all the reasons.

I don't have to draw up any graph because i'm provided with all the tech stuff that i need to fly my airplane from my company.

I hope you run out of time to edit that comment before you realise how many things are wrong with it.

Not that it makes any difference, but NO - I am not Rob Balsamo. I live in Australia, so unless he's built a teleporter, I think you might find that accusation difficult to prove.

Please inform me! Of course i have my basic pilot training and rating on many jets.

Exactly.

Weedy claims to be a 757/767 pilot, but he has been unable to produce a genuine 757 nor 767 Vg Diagram from Boeing. Instead he elects ad homs and shouting fakery! ..... from behind his sock for more than 100 pages.

Anyone who reads this thread clearly will understand Weedy not only doesnt know how to plot a Vg when the data is known, but is also unable to produce one himself when he claims he flew the very same aircraft type.

Oh.. and yes.. I'm actually Rob Balsamo. I expect to be banned soon.

He is, i know another pilot when i see or talk to one. If you truthers want an ugly discussion about flying heavy metal, that's what you're gonna get.

Yup...

Weedy claims to be a 757/767 pilot....

Typed in the B 737 and DC 9 too (which includes the MD 80 series, of course. Same basic airplne, minor differences, all common type rating).

LOTS of time right seat too....B 727, Airbus A 300, DC-10.....

But, you already know this....usually pointless to reply to a banned former member....but YOU will be reading this, no doubt.

.... but he has been unable to produce a genuine 757 nor 767 Vg Diagram from Boeing.

???? Oh, this is reason NUMBER 2 that I had to respond!!! Comedy gold, with the pot and kettle and all.....genius!!
