I really think the OP has substance and raises serious questions over the volume of threads spewing hate and prejudice at the moment. This current thread is doing the rounds at the moment and is a perfect example of what's wrong.

This is what I notice in ATS. A lot of disinformation agents here. They like to sow fear, they always shoot down any topic that talks about UFOs and aliens. They like to spread doom and gloom. Anything that can make the unawakened posters here cower in fear and live in hatred.

I don't know what more I can add other than I feel the same way.

Your post deserves a star from every member on ATS in my opinion.

This is a conspiracy site and it seems there are so many right wing Christian Fundamentalist that have taken over the threads that this is not the ATS it once was.

Many of these threads have no basis on conspiracies they are people trying to shovel their religious belief system down your throat and I have found I simply bypass those.

Personally everyone should have a say so however, I do think there is a major conspiracy involving ATS.

ATS is one of the biggest conspiracy sites in the world, millions of souls log on and read what is posted, trying to get a grasp of what the sam heck is going on all over our planet.

And, TPTB, the real pupper masters are aware of this.

KNOWLEDGE is POWER. That last 3 word sentence is one of the most powerful truths out there. To really understand what is really going on in our 3 dimensional "reality"................and the puppet master are trying to take control, keep humanity bogged down in religious gobbletygook nonsense, trying to keep humanity divided and conquerored and in a primitive mindset.

They do this by infiltrating into our knowledge system. Our schools, our media, our conspiracy sites.

And get this........laugh at me all you want but while the rest of you have been watching dancing with the stars and reading "Twilight" I've been studying like a banshee and "they" the ones at the very top are not human and not, originally of this 3rd dimensional reality.

If we were to travel back in time to even a few hundred thousand years, the people you would encounter would marvel at your technological abilities. Now imagine a race or a group of races not only a million years ahead of us but co-existing in other dimensions and perhaps parallel worlds.

ATS use to be more interesting. The posts from just a few years back really brought to the table very well read, well educated and creative postings.

Now, so often you have to wade through people that have drank the corporate kool aid and religious dogma.

In my humble opinion, war and religion are nothing more than diversions placed in front of humanity to keep us divided and conquered.

And the postings of just a few years ago, were starting to bring people to close to the truth.

The powers that be, the real puppet masters couldn't have that, the hairless apes were beginning to really wake up.

And so, whomever is really pulling the strings, the men behind the curtain, began to step up their disinformation network.

Start researching mind control. Our brains are a organic computer and yes they can be fiddled with from a distance.

Many, what some call disinformation agents don't mean to be or even know that they are.

Indigothefish, getting people flustered, very true - the distraction, divide and conquer technique. starred.

Aggieman and ThatDGirl starred.

There are still many good posts on ATS and more intellegent and well read as well as insightful people coming on board everyday.

I simply now give the religious fanatics and haters a wide berth. I by pass their post because these (IMHO) are poor souls who have bought into the dogma and are unknowingly working for the conquest of humanity.

Also true, the difference is that these people debunk themselves, but a lot of times, interesting subjects or theories are silenced because of immediate ridicule and negativity, by people that refuse to look outside of the box, and only want 100% proof.

This is a bigger threat to evolution of knowledge and finding truth than the "rainbow sprinkler crowd" as you call them.

It muddies the water, when the water is already so unclear as it is.

Anyway, My posts have been rather off topic in reply to others, as OWM has stated to others. It is so easy to get into the heat of the matter that this happens.

I didn't read through much of this thread, I just read the OP but I had to respond to this because I am in total agreement on this issue. Though I have only been an actual member for months now, I have been coming to ATS for intelligent incite for many years. Lately I have noticed many of the same problems that you stated. It seems lately more and more unintelligent, uniformed, childish, and even hate filled posts have been left and it also seems that either less and less violations have been reported to the mods or the mods are getting somewhat lax when it comes to certain T&C violations. More than any other I have noticed more and more posts that contain personal attacks just because a member doesn't agree with what is said in the OP. I have also noticed a lot more profanity has been finding its way onto the boards. Now I have never been known for my exceptionally clean mouth and being in the construction field in my day job I tend to use much more profanity than is ever really needed. However, one of the things that kept me coming back to ATS to read all these years was the fact that I could read a thread and the discussion/debate that was going on about it and not have to read through all the *snips* and F##@@s and all that junk. IMO it vastly reduces the quality of a thread or the quality of the discussion/debate to have to try to read through all the censored words. I am not sure why but more and more I see posters either censoring themselves with the *snip* deal (which I have to admit I have done a time or two) or the other favorite of members here the one letter bunch of symbols to edit word crap. I have even noticed that a few members get away with far more of that type of thing than others. (Not that this is a mod/mods playing favorites...which I don't believe it is....I just think less and less of us are alerting the mods to this type of behavior)
It just seems to me that we here at ATS have became a little too tolerant (IMO) of such things....(personal attacks, profanity, hate mongering) It is almost like we have accepted, with open arms, those who choose to come clog the boards up with posts that contribute nothing to a thread and serve only to derail discussions that could many times possibly become something bigger than your typical discussion. Many times those of us who choose only to respond when we think we have something to add to a discussion choose not to post in many threads because of this. Personally I have come across more than a few threads lately that I was thinking of contributing to only to read more of the thread when I finish with the OP and realize that the first few posts (or even the majority of posts) came from an intelligent person and then the last 5 were just people trying to claim that others are 'stupid' or 'ignorant' or 'sheeple' just because they hold a view that the unintelligent member does not share. I am yet to understand why someone would post in a thread with information they care nothing about unless they are just trying to start a word fight with someone or derail the thread. IMO this is a favorite tactic of disinfo agents (and I do believe there are many of them here...however I believe that 90% of those called 'disinfo agents' by others are simply people that have views/beliefs that sometimes seem very narrow minded or seem to be defending 'TPTB')
Personally as much as I see these things seemingly taking over ATS sometimes I still come back day after day because for me the good still FAR outweighs the bad here and ATS is still FAR better about civility and good manners than most places like this. I can only hope that those who post hate will either go spew their hate elsewhere, be ignored enough that they will give up and quit posting, or finally say something that gets their account deleted. (So I don't have to read it as I'm reading

through threads anymore) Now for the immature posts and the reason for the recent surge in those type posts? Well I am really in agreement with many other members that I have read posts from concerning that particular subject, I think a lot of the reason we have seen more of that lately is the fact that it is summer time and a lot of kids are out of school with nothing to do and they come here, most of them probably stumbling upon the site not even knowing what it is all about, and because they don't understand....or just don't care.....the thread or maybe they don't understand what ATS is supposed to be about at all, they post things that....like I said, contribute nothing, sometimes make no sense, or are just inflammatory just to get a reaction out of others. I hope that a lot of the recent hate filled, derogatory, unintelligent, useless posts are just due to this recent surge of people because I hate the fact that some come here for no other reason but to entertain themselves even if it is at the expense of others. I try to be optimistic about it but as I see more and more of what the OP speaks of on a daily basis I fear that eventually it will lead to a lot of people distancing themselves from this wonderful wealth of information and knowledge simply because they choose not to put up with all the immaturity and hate that is being spread like a cancer on the boards. I sincerely hope that this isn't the case but I fear that we have already lost some brilliant minds due to the fact that they would rather remain silent that put up with the childish minds/ways of others.
Anyways I could go on forever about this.....ranting, ranting, ranting....but I'm pretty sure that would solve nothing and I believe that I said it all about 5 times over and over already in this post so I will apologize (as usual for me lol) for such a long post. This subject is just one I am very adamant about because I love ATS and greatly appreciate all the great discussions and all the time those who contribute put into something that sometimes others see as something so trivial. I believe that powerful things can happen sometimes when so many great minds get together and discuss things in a civil way...without having "the truth" shoved down our throats. I think things that are discussed here can be applied in the real world. I think there are solutions to many problems, that the world faces everyday, brought forth here on ATS and if we all just unite against the problems in this world and discuss things like they are many times discussed here, we could fix this planet and make it a much brighter, better place for our children and grandchildren in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to post OP. This is an issue that more members need to be aware of. Sooner or later I think we are going to have to take some kind of stand against this malicious posting. At some point (and I hope it never gets this bad) we are going to have to join together and 'deny ignorance' and deny the ignorant our attention, be it 10 seconds or 10 minutes. There are far too many problems in the world to be distracted by the nonsense. There is far too much information here to be absorbed and many times learned for the first time to be worried about trolls, hate mongerers or the downright unintelligent.
Sorry again for being long winded and talking in circles....if parts of this post seem to repeat themselves or make no sense I will cast blame on the fact that I have been awake for 30 straight hrs in about 25 minutes.....so....you be the judge.....
