a large part of the problem with the global hatred is the not only does the American govenrment lie to its people and say that the rest of the world hates us, but the governments of the world tell their people that the American people hate them.

its all propaganda by TPTB. its been shown a few times that wars are being financed on both sides by an elite few... WW2, Iran/Iraq war and just a couple examples.

in the 80's America financed the resistance to keep USSR out of Afganastan, but less than 2 decades later, America itself had invaded that same country. Its all BS and the people of the world are starting to realise this more and more every day.

America is largely at fault for putting dictators into power, it had its hand in Saddam taking control of Iraq. Countless number of the leaders in Central and South America are a direct result of the American government.

Let not a brother judge his own brother if he himself has a splinter in his own eyes.

No doubt there is a shadow govt within the US govt, but this is not only happening in US. Look at China and you will do a dictatorial perennial govt.

When a brother talks about rigged elections, look towards Iran and you can see it being done openly and in daylight

When a brother talks of american bullying, look towards how other nations mishandles americans and their own people.

When a brother talks on loss of american freedom, look towards North Korea and Burma.

When a brother talks about american schisms in religion, look at the middle eastern states and its state. When a brother talks about american inequalities, look at India.

The point is, we HUMANITY had longed been screwed by our leaders, and in their hearts they swear no alligence to the PEOPLE, but to their hidden masters.

Before a brother lay claims to the ills of american leadership, let him take an honest look at his own nation's leadership, and may he be awakened to how similar and vulnerable We humanity are, and need to awake others to courageously make a stand for OUR FUTURE against the dominators of societies whom had kept us in ignorance and servitude.

We mankind are in it together, americans, arabs, europeans, chinese, indians, africans, etc. Brother and sisters are we all by Creation.

Peace.

Nice post, Endtimer, BUT - ( and that includes references to other posts and replies to this one) - ....

The USA and it's citizens behave and have behaved since their existence pretty much akin to Pre-WW2 Germany. Mindless entertainment, skilfully crafted political manipulation, Hollywood learned a lot from the UFA Film Studio and it's propaganda. And absolute "believe" of its citizen that the USA IS actually a great country.

To remind you about one little issue.

I recently saw on History TV a segment about the war of 1812. The actual war declaration was read in this show, which loosely quoted went like this: "... to remove the British from the north American continent and remove the native population to enable complete settlement of the country ..." This was followed later by the Monroe doctrine.

True American power was enforced after WW2 as the USA being the only "untouched" country that had not as a nation suffered any damage during the war. The false hype about the Communist threat. The many covert actions and wars to ensure "regime change" in other countries. And naturally the display of utter ignorance of its average citizens to world affairs.
A few highlights of every day encounters with Americans:

Socialism is equal to communism. - (as told to me by a US consulate Visa officer as I applied for a tourist visa some 30 years ago) - If this utter ignorance is displayed by an "educated" visa officer, how much more is it prevalent among the common Joe on the street?

"Where did you 2 guys learn so good English?" - asked to us by a waitress in an airport as my co-pilot and I waited for our corporate clients at a small US airport just 10miles south of the Canadian border.

Anything that smells like "universal health-care", cooperative management or similar is considered communism.
A country that has unknown numbers of intelligence and police services. Most countries have just a handful. Normal police with its different branches, domestic intelligence and foreign military intelligence and that is it.
I recall a German security officer stating in "Der Spiegel" after the Atlanta summer Olympics about the security nightmare at the site with having to deal with over 40 !!! different security agencies!
Unchecked capitalism and greed.
Long history of embarrassing "Blow-Back" in black ops activities, - Bin Laden anyone? Then you have the audacity to call your "War-Criminals" which are your troops in foreign countries "Heroes". And then you "whine" because no one likes you?
"the average American is innocent..." well so were the average German women and children in Hamburg and Dresden and other cities that got firebombed. So are the average Iraqis and Afghans who have died during these wars. Why then expect that these affected by your wars should look at you with more kindness and compassion than what your military did on their own people.
What America needs is a good war on its own soil that lets you feel at home what it is to be under fire and soil your pants in the air-raid shelters.
What one poster rightfully mentioned before: Why are the French the only ones that fear their people?" Because they did have a true revolution in which quite a number of heads rolled. And strangely enough it was this very same French revolution that ushered in the social changes in Europe, like health care and so forth, - well except for the UK.

To be honest, i don't believe America to be that important as to blame it for all the problems in the world. The world is very large, and yes the USA has not done much good these days as far as promoting peace and stability, but its not just their fault.

To hold the USA responsible for the way life is in the world, is basically crediting it with ruling the world, which thankfully it does not.

We are all in the same situations all around the world as far as im concerned.

If American's believe so much in their freedoms why have they not stood against the tyranny they have seen within their own government? Why have they done exactly what the forefathers didn't ever want to happen? Why is it America is on the road to becoming owned by the Bankers, when the forefathers tried to do away with them and tried very hard to keep that message in the American People's Hearts?

Their is so much you could stand against thats righteous but no one is. With that being said, i declare America no better then any other country being led by the nose by their leaders.

Maybe it's part of the whole western industrialization thing. If it wasn't America, it would be some other industrialized nation leading the international forces of consumerism in the war on indigenous peoples.

I think it would help a lot if Americans would stop chanting "USA USA" at every opportunity they get. The typical example was UFC last week. The crowd cheered "Silva Silva" but as soon as Sonnen started kicking his rear the crowd jumped bandwagons and started with the "USA USA" chant. It's ridiculous. What I found hilarious was when the fight ended, both Sonnen and Silva got jeered ha ha !

I think at a time, a very, very long time ago, the "USA USA" chant actually meant something but now it's just silly really and winds a lot of people up, seeing as how corrupt things really are behind the scenes. I understand people are prideful, there is nothing wrong with that, but I don't believe there is much to be proud off in this day and age. People are just too patriotic there and it often leads to ignorance.

Don't worry fella, there is a growing number of 'us' that know the difference between the U.S machine and U.S citizens....The only thing that frustrates me is when I get lectured by Americans about liberty and freedom - not fellow ATSers who are insightful enough to know how quickly freedoms are being 'surrendered' to serve the machine..

I can't wait for the day when we have enough people 'awake' for society to reach a tipping point.

May I add that you are a bigger target than most - the big man on a high chair, its not that the U.S is any more corrupt than other countries; its just that its muscles are so big that alot of damage can be done....

Peace.

Let's be clear on this.

Sometimes it's not even the "leaders" that are to blame here in America. Mostly it's the fascist regime that's taken control of the foreign policy.

The last great President (Dwight D. Eisenhower) tried to warn us in his farewell address that our country had been hijacked by those who would nurture and grow the military industrial complex.

(Sorry about the music dub in this video ... it's extremely annoying)

Google Video Link

Because a lot of the time we have people of other nations that blame us for electing or not electing certain leaders. Take for instance "Bin Laden's" (and I quote his name because I actually think he's dead) recorded messages citing the elections.

But, how can American people control those that operate behind the scenes? The simple answer is: we can't.

The military industrial complex is embedded in our system down to the very roots. It's bought and paid for with black budget operations that are contracted to the lowest bidder. Lobbyists in Washington pull their strings with Congressmen and their pork barrel budget shenanigans to get their contracts on the table. All the while you have Average Joe voting for whomever is going to award favored contracts to their local employer ... for example, Boeing.

The way that it's set up is ingenious and terrifying.

Hello ATS, long time reader, first-time poster.

At first this topic got me quite enraged, as I do have some resent for the american nation as a whole.
The shady politicians, military-industry and foreign-policies are obvious reasons, but when you think about why the american citizens are letting all this happen, it becomes more complex.

The problem, as many have pointed out, is that the USA is the torchbearer of western civilization at the moment.
The american citizens are in a unique position, because their constitution, the Bill of Rights and certain court precedens gives them opportunities, which people in other coutries do not have.

One of my life-rules is; You only have so much time. (Don't know if it translates right.) Meaning, each person on only can give a certain amount of time, to a given subject/topic, before moving on and getting other things done that is required to be a balanced being.

So I understand that the average Joe of America might not have the time to get fully educated so late in the process, but I also aknowledge the fact that you have to take responsibility for your actions, be it now or later.

Another rule I live by, is: The world you create, is what you leave your children.
This applies weather you are atheist, religious, new age, old age, satanist nihilist or whatever. One have to remember that the things you do, or DON'T DO, will affect future generations.

My last respond to the OP is no personal rule, but basic human psychology.
Humans project thier own flaws onto others.
Seeing that America IS the torchbearer of western civilization, it infuriates many non-americans that the "american people" are letting this happen, when they are the only ones who can stop it and have "ample" oppertunity via the beforementioned constitution etc and gunlaws, without recognizing that a leader without followers would wander alone.

So my huble advice is:

Americans, grab your lawbooks, get educated and take your country back county by county. When the rest of the world see that you at least TRY to fight the opression being laid upon you, they will respect you and might even come to your aid, if you're not too proud too recieve it.

Non-americans, it's ok to be aware of the US, as trends set there, might quickly spread "in case of emergency", but instead of trying to fix America, make sure that YOUR country do not follow the false guru.

(Hoax or not, Tsarion has SOME valid points about psycology.)

Again, greetings everyone, hope my post was helpful.

EDIT: typo + adding the fact, that I do admire some things about the US too. Like the constitution and garage ingenuity. Hope I wasn't misunderstood.

I think this is the only thing that truly annoyed me while I spent my 6 years in the US. It's not that I don't appreciate patriotism, but to be coarsely told that "America is the land of the free and the just!" on more than one occasion by my friends there was just grating. The message is fine but it is often said in a 'better than you' kind of way and that, coupled with current events, makes me sad. Doubly so when they believe that all Germans wear Lederhosen, dance those silly Bavarian folk dances and drink beer and bratwurst all day long.

I do love the majority of Americans that I've met, fantastic fun bunch to be around. But I just wish that the majority of the population would educate themselves more about what's happening.

Of course TPTB aren't making it easy for you

*Angry fist shake @ TPTB"

First off we are not `The Little People`. We are the back bone to this country. If the American citizens would get off their lazy fat McDonald eating asses and learn exactly what the Constitution means to us and utilize it to its fullest we wouldn't be in this mess. We needed a revolution years ago. I also hope that you don't still believe that are votes count do you? It has been rigged for a long time now. George W Bush, no one `NO ONE` wanted him the second time. But I have to say I am more than happy you made this post. As an American Im extremely embarrassed about how are country is being ran. And I just hope and pray that the people in other country's realize that its NOT the citizens. Sure there are some that think Big Brother is doing every thing right for its people. But nowa days I'm seeing more and more people opening their eyes to all this corruption and I couldn't be any more Happier about it. It is are constitutional rights to over throw the government when it starts screwing the people. And I must say they have been doing that for a real long time now.

I would like to make a few points in answer to your post.

1) America ( U.S.A.) is made up of people who's ancestors came from every other country in the world. It is a microcosm of the people of Earth.

2) Humanity as a whole has been slaughtering each other since we became sentinent, it is in our genetic makeup.

3)The USA is a mirror of humanity, praise it or demean it, your just talking about yourself.

4) We ( humanity ) are caught up in a race for resources. America has been at the forefront of this race for awhile now. Same as the British Empire, The Roman Empire, etc.

5) The USA is in danger of losing the top spot. We have the biggest gun. Do you really want to piss us off?

I say this not to anger you. Some Americans will bend over backwards to change this quagmire we find ourselves in. Hence, they will build a Mosque at ground zero, to show the rest of the world we're big enough to say we don't blame Islam just Terrorism. Do you really think Islamic Terrorist' really care? Do any of you really understand the Islamic terrorist have killed 100 times more Muslims than Americans or Britains or French, etc.

Everyone wants to live at the top of the pile and there's only room for one. Because of our Libidinous Nature we Humans will eternally fight each other for the top spot. Some of us are trying to change this dilemma. Most of us don't know what to do. There's a small minority that are quite good of taking advantage of the situation and THEY are the PTB.

:/ That is a pretty narrow minded conclusion based on the meetings of two idiots both of which are probably high school drop outs.

I can't say I hate the country (all though I hate the people that run it). I have a good job, and a roof over my family's head. They have food, shelter and clothing. Everything beyond that is just bonus material.

I guess it's hard for the world to realize we are really just like everyone else. We too have mouths to feed and children to raise. We too wish a better world for our children.

With that said....

Comparing the average citizen to Nazi Germany is really unfair. If we don't agree with TPTB where are we to go? No country will accept a "Barbarian" for a lengthy period of time. Our elections are rigged (which has come under scrutiny on several occasions but nothing is ever done about it.) We have gang violence and corrupt police. We are raised not to trust anyone and told that everyone on earth wants to kill us. It's no wonder we cling to our guns so.

I'm not playing the martyr here. I'm stating fact. Americans really are hated by the rest of the world and unfortunately the only safe haven we have is a country in turmoil and a government with an Agenda based on greed.

Americans have lost hope for the most part.

BTW, the USA had a civil war in case you forgot about it.

1) America ( U.S.A.) is made up of people who's ancestors came from every other country in the world. It is a microcosm of the people of Earth.

Yes that's true, but it's also silly when I then hear: "Oh I'm part Italian, so we have a lot in common!"
Italian person: "Oh so we can talk in Italian? Or what's your favourite place in Italy?"
American: "No I don't speak a word of Italian and I've never been to Italy."

It's different. Most native Italians would just not feel this American with Italian heritage is one of them. Americans that truly care about their ancient heritage and learn the language/study the culture can then involve themselves with natives on equal footing.

People in other countries love it when you show interest and even more so when you can prove it by speaking with them in their native language. Really impresses them.

2) Humanity as a whole has been slaughtering each other since we became sentinent, it is in our genetic makeup.

And while this is completely idealistic and wishful, dreamland thinking: I wish we would be grown up enough to realize that it's not helping us, our family, neighbours, county, state, nation or world. Just our egos.

It should not be an excuse.

3)The USA is a mirror of humanity, praise it or demean it, your just talking about yourself.

No, because humanity has a vast variety of cultures that value different ideals and philosophies.
I'm not saying any one is better than the other, but the USA is NOT a mirror to the rest of the world. Really... go travel if you don't believe me.

4) We ( humanity ) are caught up in a race for resources. America has been at the forefront of this race for awhile now. Same as the British Empire, The Roman Empire, etc.

And it's only going to get worse and increase tensions. All of those empires you mentioned have collapsed, as will the USA if it does establish itself as such an empire. Power and greed will piss off enough people until s# hits the fan. It's not a solution and we need to learn from history.

5) The USA is in danger of losing the top spot. We have the biggest gun. Do you really want to piss us off?

It's not a matter of pissing you off, it's about trying to find a better solution to what's happening in the world. If that pisses you off because it steps on a few toes then I'm sorry, but sometimes change requires us to step outside of our comfort zones. Especially nowadays where we're so trapped and restrained by the MSM/TPTB/Whatever.

There has to be balance, for sure. Building a Mosque at Ground Zero is a terrible idea, simply because you have to respect the families of the victims. It's not like we turned Auschwitz or other death camps into a synagogue.

It's all about sending a correct message. It's difficult to do because we're prone to overreacting and wanting revenge or other satisfaction for the ego.

Because of our Libidinous Nature we Humans will eternally fight each other for the top spot. Some of us are trying to change this dilemma. Most of us don't know what to do.

And I hope we break this cycle by doing something about it. It's not just an American problem, everyone shares it. But we're so caught up in hate and fear that we can't rally together.

All the best,
T
