be glad you had the means to ride your kids to school every day....
I had to walk a mile to school through 3ft snow drifts when I was going to school...family had no car. and well, the screaming, crying, hyperactive
kids on the bus was my observation while picking my kids up from the bus stop, not my friends feelings. I didn't have the luxury of driving them to
school.....my husband had to have the only car to drive the 40 miles to work everyday...or most days, some days he would get halfway and find a wall
of snow where the plows had stopped at the county line and turned around.
how are these single moms gonna be working two or three jobs gonna be able to ride their kids to school, take care of their sick father, bake the
bread every other day, teach the little ones all they need to know (when obviously they haven't learned some important lessons of life themselves
since well, most of them never learned that it's better to be married before having kids!!) and on and on......
you, being a stay at home mom, should know.....those kids are more than a full time job in itself! Add in a full time job, and well, you lucky if
you can find 6 hours to sleep in few days a week! I've been there, I know!
My husband is a journeyman machinist....more than 30 years experience in that trade. by the time some one reaches the age of 30, it is reasonable to
assume that he had a few dependents depending on him. a journeyman anything means the best of the best!! guess what....our kids grew up most of the
time without healthcare, while their friends (ya know, those in single parent households) were eating good everynight ($400 in food stamps every
month!!), we were finding maybe $50 for food every week after the bills. those kids, if they had applied themselves, well, they are probably in
college, paid for compliments of the taxpayer....
my kids...na....they'd have to put themselves hopeless into debt to go!! and well, it just isn't worth it.
a person with 30 years experience in a trade couldn't earn the standard of living that his taxmoney was being used to provide for others!!!
I'm a screen printer, with 8 years of experience in that field...and according to the way the wages are set up in this country, I don't deserve to
life! didn't deserve to live running that punchpress either, although if I had screwed up on them, well, on of those nice navy planes would could
have landed on someone's house!
and yet, the little twerps right out of college and into wall street manage to crash the entire economic system......
and they deserve hundred thousand dollar bonuses for the job well done!!!
before they crashed the system, I am telling you many of the people who were using these programs were working full time! and there would have been
alot less gov't workers working to hand out those few extra bucks in food stamps, ect....if their employers would have just paid a decent wage! those
employees would have been taxpayers instead of tax drainers.....
social security would have had more money going into it...
the cost of living wouldn't be so hyperinflated by stupid politicians that decide that the taxpayers should be paying $1000 for a rat infested
apartment...thus setting the basic rate of all rat infesnted apartments at $1000!
we'd be in alot better shape I think!!!
but na....the wall street gamblers, the upper level managers, who had more than they needed......
NEEDED MORE, AND THEN MORE, AND THEN MORE ON TOP OF THAT!
but well, whatever.....
in their drive for bigger profits that would lead to bigger bonuses and salaried for them, well, the quality of the products were reduced to the point
that all they can buy with all that money now if basically crap! those half a million homes will fall apart long before my little close to hundred
year old house will....
so glad you are making out so well though....for now....
