Nah, I prefer all conversations to be public. That's kind of the point of the site, right? OK how about this: Tonight, you write one intelligent, thought out reply to ANY of my posts, Let me know, I'll be happy to look at it. Are you only here to critisize? or do you actually have your own intelligent ideas, you feel others should see and contribute to? Just a question. Have not seen it yet.

In the area I live in the majority of"disabled" is ridiculous. The truth is the economy is so bad here, many people have given up and taken the "permanently disabled" route, most of them for mental disability. They all laugh. "It's free momey", I have heard more than once. There are many women here, who are striving for their 4th or 5th child because the original 3 are no longer supporting their lifestyle. Some of these people are aquaintances, I would not consider them friends, because I actively support them and myself by working.

sheesh MR.walker i told you i keep it simple ,but ill tel you what ill give it some thought and here it is ....The person in the mirror is not you, it is simply a reflection. Just as your words are a reflection of your ideas. Nobody can truly know you, not even yourself. heh i like this thought !

very interesting from a pedagogic point of view. same parents, extreme similar social surrounding, but still different developements.
please dont get me wrong on my theory, but i think your sister was more beloved, so she didnt have to be so ambitioned.
to compensate this difference, you tried to be a better human and put in more effort, more dutifulness.
just my theory, there are so much more factors that influence the developement of characters.

Througout this entire thread, very few have been willing to admit that:

1. Millions of people are milking the system for everything they can get.

2. Those that work, are the beneficiary of these people. They not only have to support themselves, but those who choose not to.

3. There is a political element that, would call my words, "angry", "deceptive" and for that matter "lies", because they are either unable to see the truth, or are doing everything they can to block the facts, and to conceal the truth.

Well, many believe that the so-called 'elites' want to 'depopulate' the earth. The reasons supposed are to prevent a possible overpopulation event and because they believe less people (around 500 million) would be easier to manage. Look at UN records, and some documents from the club of rome and the like. Many of the royal families believe this as well.

Why do you think zero population growth is a goal? Why is homosexuality now accepted? Why is sterility a growing problem? Why do the so-called 'elites' usually support wars (other than profit motive for banks and corporations)?

Good point, Though I think it is more enviromental. She likely learned from her peers, "Why work? The government will take care of you." Whether, on a psychological level, the government was taking over for Mommy and Daddy, is a whole other matter. It points directly at the "entitlement" attitude of the youth. Unfortunately this is not only an issue with the "youth", it extends throughout all age ranges. Therefore it is just as likely for most, that this mindframe was "taught".

Even more reason to jump all over your politicians throats.

If the economy is so bad people would rather go through the misery and shame of getting themselves labeled disabled just to survive, there is something seriously wrong in this country, and its not the people.

I dont think that suddenly a bunch of people decided they didnt want to work. I think slowly over the last few decades working conditions, job opportunities, pay, etc has been going down hill, and the cost of education, the demand for employees that are already trained (employers dont want to invest in training any more) has been going up.

In the past employers would train you, and treat you fairly well. Now, they want you to invest in your own training, and they pay you poorly and treat you like you are disposable. No wonder people are less motivated.

You want things to change? Petition your government. People did not suddenly, after thousands of years of working hard, evolve into a species who wont work. What happened is that suddenly, in the last few decades, corporations have taken over and changed the rules of the game for workers so thoroughly many cant figure out how to make the system work for them.

Fix the system. The people arent broken. They just want to be treated like people.

To your reply, I have been rich twice. I have been homeless twice, the last time for two years. NEVER ONCE TOOK ONE PENNY FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Worked small jobs, until I got bigger jobs. Worked fast food, Ice cream, lawn care, wood splitting, freezer repair, plumbing, many retail, and finished in water purification, teaching myself. I came from a very rich, and then very poor family. At one point me, my single mother, and my younger brother, split one hard boiled egg three ways for dinner. Though my mother never took one government penny. Way too proud, and way too hard working. Do not judge me, you have no idea. If I was homeless again tomorrow, I would do just fine, from experience. Then I would own another home in two years, BY WORKING HARD.

ok, there are people that work hard for their money, but where is the problem ?
do you ONLY get money for the effort you bring ?
what about compliments, approval, recognition and commendation by the people you work for ?
if your work-place has a shortfall or deficit in rewards, its not the fault of the jobless people.

This is simply a post on "Unfair" taxes. Yes people will come out talking about; military, social security, medicare, and every other social program. The specific one I am addressing is the millions of non-working people who are milking the system, that I am currently forced to support, because I pay taxes by working. Is that not clear enough? I honestly don't know how to make it more clear. Simple statement:

I, as a working American, no longer want to be forced, through taxes, to support the millions who intentionally defraud the system.

Clear enough?
