New 'superbug' found in UK hospitals

As soon as I had seen this on the news, there was an advertisment for a program to air that night on channel 5 at 9:00pm called Life After Armageddon.

Five presents a one-off docudrama presenting a vision of a world left devastated by a deadly flu pandemic. The film imagines the plight of one ordinary suburban family, who are forced to fight for survival in the post-apocalyptic landscape. With only a few human beings left in the world, the docudrama explores not only the family's battle to deal with the lack of physical provisions, but also the lack of human interaction.

Anyone else find this alittle strange that the news of this NDM-1 virus hits our news channels then followed up with a one-off docudrama on how to survive an uncurable pandemic?

I watched part of that # scaremongering docudrama last night and what a #ing shock to wake up to a new super flu in the morning. Didn't see that one coming,

So far this Superbug has been found in U.K, India, Pakistan, Massachusetts, California and Illinois. there has also been at least two cases in Canada

I so agree.

We have once again been fooled by commercialism... They feed us fear of bugs and bacteria and they provide us with 'wonderful' products that will kill 99% of all known germs. They show us how to spray it on our kitchen tops, down our loos, even providing us with products that stop us having to hold the very thing that kills the germs, so we don't spread anymore!

It's all Bo**ocks. It's all about selling product to make MONEY (solutions to problems that don't really exist!). We need germs and bacteria to live a healthy life. We need healthy food to live a healthy life. If we have both of those elements, we should almost never become ill. The sickest people are those who don't eat healthily and those who spray their homes with anti bacterial solutions. It's every bloody where you go.. Anti bacterial this, anti bacterial that. It drives me nuts.

My kitchen is basically clean, but I don't use those sprays and I bet under a microscope the drying up cloths, the dish cloths, the work surfaces, saucepans and cutlery are a heaving mass of bacteria - and guess what....
My partner, her 11 year old daughter and myself are never ill!! We also have a dog, cat and goldfish!

For god sake wake up... stop being paranoid and stop being fed crap by the advertising industry!

The Illuminati want the population cut from 6 billion to 500 million... They are dumbing us down to control us, and they are doing their best to feed us nutrient deficient foods. Not only that, but they pump our meats full of antibiotics (because of farming methods), which means we have even less resistance to bugs. We get conditioned through advertising, become ignorant of the truth, and we end up believing all we are told. (Well the masses do anyway) Meanwhile, they create things like swine flu, bird flu and now a synthetic bacteria, all with a view to reducing our numbers...

Wake up world! We need to drop the sprays, bin the air fresheners, eat healthy food, avoid junk food and fight back! Those that do will possibly survive and live on. Those that don't will probably die and we'll all think it's just natures way!

Doesn't it seem like 3rd world countries would be the less likely place for antibiotic resistant bacteria to appear (at least naturally) These people wont have near the access to antibiotics so the bugs shouldn't be encountering them as much and becoming resistant. However, I guess if it was unnatural a 3rd world country would be the testing ground.

I believe the "offical" explantion for this occurrence was that the poorer parts of India can only afford 1 antibiotic tablet (no prescription is needed...all over the counter). Because they are only taking 1 tablet, their bodies arn't fully fighting off the virus,,,resulting in a mutation of the virus creating a "SuperBug" that is immune to all available antibiotics.

But don't worry I'm sure some company that creates a "cure" will earn alot of money of the back of this. *tongue in cheek*

Whilst I was writing this a thought occurred to me that certain "Virus Protection Services" (Online) have been accused of creating viruses that only their company can deal with...at least to begin with. Could this be happening in "real life"?

I'm "awake" don't worry, but please don't be naive, you shouldn't stop paying attention to what is happening around the world...like following updates on this superbug or other potential changes that seem to support an agenda. Thanks for posting that thread...very interesting. After visiting this thread on Beyond Petroleum and this super-virus dubbed, SYNTHIA, I noticed the picture of this particular synthetic baterial genome seen here

So I searched around for a picture of the NDM-1 "SuperBug" and found this

These pictures don't seem to marry up to me...and a new country to add to the list

It is a very interesting thread the SYNTHIA one...do we really need to be creating these type of things...then again I suppose "WE" don't really get a say in the matter.

Yes definitely. I considered this a lot when the swine flu came about. Would evil big pharma release a virus they created if they knew they could make hundreds of millions off of the vaccine which they also created and patented.. who knows, but if you ask me it's a resounding YESSIR!.

If you are into the Monsanto conspiracies at all, I suggest seeing Michael Clayton. It's an amazing film that seems to be based on Monsanto (a lot).

I don’t want to sound to negative but as a nursing student about to write a essay on “infection control” which will include reading up on E-Coli, I would not use any of the sources that you have listed because none of them are reliable. As a rule I would never take any health advice from the Daily mail or wiki, the BBC yes, but I take it on a case by case basis.
